https://lnkd.in/dpxGPqsj Biden Drops Out, the Dangers of a Lame-Duck President Emerge As Americans focus on the campaign, the world asks what our global role will be for the next six months. By John Bolton July 21, 2024 5:39 pm ET Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the presidential race effectively makes him a lame duck. The odds favored his achieving this status on Nov. 5 anyway, but America now faces a nearly 100-day longer interregnum than in prior transition periods. We may focus on the election campaign, but the wider world worries what Washington’s global role will be for the next six months. History affords no clear answer. The constitutional rule that we have only one president at a time is often hard for Americans, let alone foreigners, to grasp. The dangers posed by uncertainty about who’s in charge even in normal transitions are exacerbated by a weak incumbent no longer seeking re-election. U.S. adversaries, and even some allies, will see opportunities to advance their interests. Nor can we rule out what an otherwise responsible, but disappointed and possibly bitter lame duck might consider doing as his tenure in office dwindles.

With the emergence of 2025, global economic practices are being transitioned by post-pandemic recovery, inflation management, and evolving geopolitical landscapes. ''Geopolitical and Trade Dynamics'': Increasing fragmentation in global trade due to geopolitical tensions might lead to less integrated supply chains. This could sustain inflation volatility and impact economic stability ''Focus on Sustainability and Innovation'': Governments and businesses are emphasizing sustainable economic practices, such as climate-resilient investments, and adopting technologies like AI to optimize operations
The economic consequences of Donald Trump’s may remain relatively muted in 2025. Still, that is not to minimise the danger ahead https://econ.st/4fDrTbJ Illustration: Mark Harris

#politics #unitedstates #sustainability #NobelPrize Great speech on the economy by former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he was shot, a blue collar swing state. To win, however, against @BarackObama, @VP Kamala Harris, and California Democrats he must make sure United States is not committed to escalation of the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, even though he is still saying there will not be a World War III. Trump appears to be saying he will, as I predicted, an iron dome as in Israel will be built for the U.S. Why? He is saying he will agree to escalating the war now, before the election, to deescalate later after winning the election as Harris appears to be saying, to defang and neutralize her strategy by co-opting her to close the gap and jump ahead. Right here he is making the same mistake all presidents made since Woodrow Wilson in 1913 because he will be in the same boat as Harris on the economy, with private money most likely from BlackRock and Larry Fink Environment, Society, Governance (ESG) portfolio reallocation to the military industrial complex (MIC) flowing both to Harris and Trump, the MIC hedging its November bets. Elon Musk has been tagged to JD Vance to make Tesla boost happen, for more Americans to buy electric vehicles (EVs), and Musk and Detroit getting a 15% corporate tax for domestic manufacturing, more clean cars contributing to alleviating the climate problem according to Musk. Donald Trump lost the election already to Harris by compromising the war and budget ace he had up his sleeve if the United States will be committed to escalation in Ukraine and Middle East and to the current United States Department of Defense strategic plan through 2075 before November 05. Fink does not have money to finance another Cold War for the next half a century, 50 years against BRICS, and Trump is going to force the #federalreserve to do Ronald Reagan’s peace through strength all over again. Same thing over again but this time around the result for America and the world could be a disaster, no matter who is elected. Why the peace through strength paradigm will not work, because it never really did https://lnkd.in/e4vERQzz. If this happens I am not voting in any election. I do not want the blood of the end of the United States on my hands, for I did not cause it. The MIC did. I would rather defense do the strategic pivot #strategicpivot to planetary security #planetarysecurity toward #OurCommonFuture The Nobel Prize by way of a local/global #glocalization Sustainability Industrial Complex (#SIC) if I am to vote. Star Trek with Master Yoda and holography from Star Wars rather than Space Force and Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) also known as Star Wars with the technology of Star Trek. Will Donald Trump and JD Vance adopt this? Or Harris and Walz? Whoever shall explicitly adopt it, my vote will go to them. © 2024 tamirisa.com TAMIRISA
