The Fight for Justice Demands Unity, Action, and Resilience! At NEW (Nonprofit Enterprise at Work), our vision of a just, loving, and thriving nonprofit sector is facing unprecedented challenges. The incoming administration has made its intent clear: dismantle decades of progress in social, racial, and environmental justice. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and the future of our communities—and generations to come—is on the line. But we are not here to sit idly by. In response, we’re convening Southeast Michigan’s most passionate leaders to build power through unity and shared purpose. History reminds us that collective action is the strongest tool we have. Just as past generations have triumphed over seemingly insurmountable odds, we, too, are stronger when we stand together. At the heart of this event are four core pillars—Learn, Practice, Play, and Rest—designed to cultivate community that is both grounded and energized for the road ahead. This event isn’t just about equipping our community with tools for sustainable activism; it’s about transforming connections into an unshakable network of trust, support, and resilience. The fight continues. We know that we're #strongertogether #Justice #NonprofitLeadership #SocialImpact #Equity #Solidarity
Join us on January 20, 2025 (01/20/25), for Stay Woke —a day of grounding, inspiration, and community care for Southeast Michigan’s changemakers. Though some have attempted to weaponize the term “woke” in recent years, we’re here to reclaim it, standing firm in our commitment to the pursuit of racial and social justice. Through learning, practice, play, and rest, we'll come together to strengthen our bonds, share insights, and find joy in a community that shares our vision and values. Expect engaging discussions, interactive workshops, delicious food, and restorative moments designed to renew our spirits. This is a chance to get rooted in community, be inspired, and leave ready for the road ahead. Let’s come together for a day of solidarity and renewal! Get your ticket today! https://lnkd.in/eyAv5qFp

Memorial Day weekend in the U.S. is the unofficial start of summer -- so please, slow down your messaging! From Memorial Day to Labor Day, people want to check out from their information consumption. You probably have team members taking much-deserved breaks, too, so this is the time to post less and instead focus on optimizing the content you do produce. Take a campaign or two off the calendar. Cancel that unnecessary "Happy Flag Day!" post. Redirect your energy to making the content you do post on-brand and culturally relevant, promote the heck out of it, and relax a little. That's what your audience will be doing, too. #memorialday #corporatecommunications #contentstrategy #editorialcalendar #culturalrelevance #summer

Name a better team than ours at Regard! Curious about Regard or interested in a demo of our Clinical Insights Platform? Swing by our booth (#4116) under the AI Pavilion at HLTH so we can chat. #HLTHUSA #HealthcareInnovation #ClinicalInsights
Heading into the weekend before HLTH USA looks like.... Just kidding! Our team came together for our annual Regard Retreat in September to bond, recharge, and try to make a boat out of cardboard boxes. You had to be there. 😆 But seriously...HLTH is next week, and we hope to see you in Las Vegas (booth 4116)!

✨️Happy Fri-yayyyy!!! We made it another week🙌🏿! I hope you made some progress in your personal goals and advanced your organization's goals too. This weekend, to everyone celebrating Spring🌻, may you smile BIG, laugh OFTEN, and enjoy your families. Whatever you do, when next week comes, and we do this all again...why not join me and others... As we work TOGETHER, for the GREATEST GOOD of course! But before you close out this week, here is a visual of change 👇🏿 demonstrated by a berry🫐🍓 AND Some light reading 📚to help encourage your heart AND give context as we seek to declutter clunky processes and ideas: "Government should be collaborative. Collaboration actively engages Americans in the work of their Government. Executive departments and agencies should use innovative tools, methods, and systems to cooperate among themselves, across all levels of Government, and with nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individuals in the private sector. Executive departments and agencies should solicit public feedback to assess and improve their level of collaboration and to identify new opportunities for cooperation." 🍀💼 In the spirit of St. Patrick's Day coming up on March 17th, we at AAS are embracing the festive fun with a "Would You Rather: St. Paddy's Edition" game! Join the excitement and let's see how our professional community weighs in on these playful scenarios: 1️⃣ Would you rather not wear green on St Patrick’s Day and get pinched all day or wear green every day for the rest of your life? Make your choice - occasional discomfort or a lifetime commitment to a color? 2️⃣ Would you rather be mischievous like a leprechaun or magical like an elf? Are you the office prankster who loves a good laugh, or the enigmatic problem-solver with a touch of magic in your approach? 3️⃣ Would you rather be lucky for a year or have everything you touch turn into gold? A year of seamless success or the Midas touch - which power would propel your career to new heights? 🤔 Engage with your network, share your picks, and may the luck of the Irish be with you in your career and beyond! Use the hashtag #AASStPattysGame to keep the conversation going. Happy St. Patrick's Day! 🌈🥇

Summer's been flying by! From video shoots to attending a garden party, we've been enjoying the season while making a difference. Our latest "Out and About" gif spotlights this, but it's more than just a highlight reel: It represents our community's spirit of caring, action, and impact. Each event, conversation, and connection reinforces our belief in the power of community collaboration. But here's the real question: How can your organization get involved in advancing our community?

Reflecting today on the inspiring 'More Than a Village' conference yesterday and the learning shared from ten years of Blackpool Better Start, Sure Start and much more besides. Thanks so much to Clare Law and to everyone who contributed. One key message for me was the importance of trust and allowing for local difference within accountability and outcomes frameworks and not seeking a simple or over-simplified view of what success and impact could and should look like - striking a balance of consistency where it makes sense with local flexibility. I found Sally Hogg's points about seeking a realistic view of what works and what might be impactful really helpful - bringing the evidence that's available (with healthy questioning of its relevance, especially for minoritised and disadvantaged communities as we discussed last week at the Nesta and Foundations – What Works Centre for Children & Families event on parenting interventions), in particular the common elements of evidence-based practice and change at a systems level, together with the voices and testimonies of local individuals and communities to shape and create local solutions. Really looking forward to contributing to the next stage of the journey, as a member of the Expert Advisory Board and linking to the Common Outcomes for Children and Young People Collaborative.
🧡 Proud doesn’t come close! What an incredible day at our ‘More Than a Village’ conference with 945 early years friends! ⭐️ Huge thank you to Sir Peter Wanless Chris Cuthbert Dr Cheryll Adams CBE Hilary Kennedy CPsychol (HPC) AFBPsS Jean Gross Beckie Lang Paul Ramchandani Sally Hogg Leon Feinstein and Naomi Eisenstadt CB. What an absolute dream team! 👶🏼 It was such a privilege to be able to share, with so many, the difference our programme has made locally, telling the story of the impact on our babies, young children and parents in Blackpool. 🚀 And what a great time to share with others the scale of our ambition, using our local learning to scale and grow and support so many more. You can also read the paper on Systems Building by Chris Cuthbert and I by clicking here https://lnkd.in/eR_ufNg5 💫 Exciting times ahead for Better Start 💫
