Taking a look back on our events! 🏀 In 2024, our basketball tournaments, hosted in partnership with Mike and Drew Sports, brought energy and excitement to the community! We successfully hosted over 15 teams of three players, providing youth a platform to develop teamwork, build confidence, and strengthen community bonds. Beyond the court, these tournaments underscore the value of sports as a tool for managing stress and promoting mental wellness among young adults. They foster resilience, encourage a positive mindset, and create a supportive space for personal growth. We’re thrilled to announce our next tournament -- Holiday Hoops on December 21, 2024, at Durfee! This year, we’re looking forward to hosting even more teams and more impact. 💻 Digital skills are essential in today’s world, and our NextGen Digital Literacy program is another highlight of our impactful work. From April 2024 to June 2024, we partnered with Umoja Debate Leauge and John R. King Middle School to provide an after-school program that equipped students with critical digital skills. With hands-on workshops, meals, and a welcoming environment, we created a space where students felt supported and confident as they embraced new technology.
