A great headline piece from Tony Juniper CBE, but sadly the article is behind a paywall so not accessible to the majority. The short extract available had nothing I'd challenge. I hope it goes on to outline action and some simple steps we can all take to enable change. My perception is that businesses have the will and money to act. Communities and charities are doing what they can with limited resources. Side stepping Government and bringing businesses and communities together can deliver real results, real fast. Action is more than just planting trees. We need natural habitats to be nurtured while simultaneously ending human actions which harm and pollute our soil, water, air, biodiversity, and heritage. #Sustainability #ClimateAction

We believe that every person has a right to clean, safe, abundant water, which is why we are so proud to be one of the inaugural members of the new initiative, "The America the Beautiful Freshwater Challenge." This new partnership to conserve and restore our country's rivers, lakes, streams, and wetlands will support states and other governments and entities, including Tribes, who are advancing their own policies and strategies for conserving our freshwater systems.    Our nation's lakes, rivers, streams, estuaries, and wetlands are fundamental to our communities' health, prosperity, and resilience and are held sacred by many Tribal Nations. This new initiative is critically needed now when protections for some of our most important waters are being rolled back.
