A warning to potential applicants: I was unfairly suspended on 19 February 2024 and unfairly dismissed on 2 July 2024 for three counts of gross misconduct after a sham disciplinary process. As a litigant in person I am taking the (two male decision makers who comprise the senior leadership team at the) Land Trust to Employment Tribunal for: 1) Automatic unfair dismissal due to protected disclosure as they continue to fail to meet a) their legal contractual obligations to Hill-Marshall and b) their regulatory health and safety obligations as highlighted by their failure to act in response to the protected disclosures I made to the Chief Executive at a meeting on 8 February 2024 when I told him that there was an ongoing risk to life and that this was highlighted during the water crisis that left 320 households without safe water in their taps for five days in 18-22 January 2024. 2) Disability discrimination due to failure to take into consideration my neurodiversities (ADHD and Aspergers), failure to address unacceptable behaviour by Hill-Marshall to which I was vulnerable; and failure to purchase £7k worth of support measures fully funded by DWP through their Access to Work scheme; 3) Gender discrimination due to assumption that my actions to deliver obligations were the result of gendered stereotypes and prejudice; and that compassion and empathy were considered beyond my remit and that of my two managers; and 4) Unfair retention of bonus (because i had 'performance issues' and was under disciplinary proceedings) after I had exceeded expectations and delivered more to the charity's KPIs at Marleigh than any other Land Trust site. The optics of taking a charity to Tribunal are not good and it does not sit comfortably. More so because the contract between the Land Trust and Hill-Marshall allows my employer to pass on to residents (via service charge) all legal costs and compensation awarded. This has allowed the Land Trust to act with impunity when it comes to their legal obligations to me.
The Land Trust is seeking a highly motivated Estates and Facilities Officer, based at the Hanger Building in Marleigh, Cambridge. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the community centre and the wider open space at Marleigh, and provide first line support for residents and the local community. Location: Hanger Building Jubilee Square, Marleigh, Cambridge Hours: Permanent 36 hours p/w Monday – Friday: some weekend & evening work required to be agreed before hand Salary: £30,000 DoE plus benefits Full job description can be found here - https://lnkd.in/efaddzcS Closing date: Monday 14 October 2024. #newjob #newoppourtunity #newrole #estatesofficer #estatesandfacilitiesofficer #greenspacemanagement #community #thelandtrust

From Job Pile to Career Success I wouldn’t be where I am today without the guidance and support of Andrea. Like many fresh school leavers, I found myself stuck in the endless cycle of job applications and rejections. With little experience and less-than-stellar grades, I was drowning in the dreaded "thanks but no thanks" pile. After applying to thousands of jobs and facing rejection after rejection, I hadn’t even considered working with an agency. That’s when Andrea came into the picture and completely changed the game for me. She didn’t just help me update my CV; Andrea provided insightful interview advice and helped me understand feedback—skills that, quite frankly, aren’t taught in school but are vital to success in the job market. Having someone like Andrea in my corner, advocating for me, was an invaluable experience. Andrea secured me a position at Marston’s in the post room. Initially, I was hesitant, but her encouragement and guidance kept me going. That role turned out to be the stepping stone I needed. Within six months, I transitioned to a position in the computer room. Twelve months later, I became a Desktop IT Engineer. From there, my career skyrocketed, and I went on to work for organizations like Wedgwood, Holland & Barrett, NHS, and NTT Data, eventually reaching a senior role. Throughout my journey, Andrea was like that inspiring teacher or supportive boss who truly believes in your potential. She was the extra champion I needed to help me succeed. Why Businesses Should Work with Andrea Andrea Tantrum (Plumb) doesn’t just match candidates to roles; she genuinely cares about finding the right person to help your business grow and overcome staffing challenges. Her passion for supporting both job seekers and employers is truly remarkable. Advice for Job Seekers If you’re struggling to find your footing in the job market, consider giving agencies a chance. With professionals like Andrea, you’ll find more than a job—you’ll gain a partner who believes in your success and helps you unlock your potential. Thanks to Andrea, I found my path, and I’m endlessly grateful for her support. even in my new adventure as a Host and Magician. A Personal Journey with Andrea Tantrum (Plumb) #andteatantrumno1
