I was so honored today to be awarded a 2024 Utah Business Executive Excellence Award. For anyone that has experienced it in their career, you know... as you have the opportunity move higher in an organization, your dependency on your leaders grows at a massively accelerated rate. There is NO WAY that I would have received this recognition today if it wasn't for those leaders on my team. Folks like Matt Mecham, Michael Christensen, Christopher Meyers, Mohammed Aaser, Shawn Stinson and Richard Eddy. Thank you all for everything you do every single day for me and the overall success of Domo.

An incredible way to mark 7 years with an incredible company. And with that, here are my 7 reasons of why I stay in love with Flexport: 1. I get to work with insanely smart, talented, diverse and fun people. 2. There's an unrelenting opportunity to learn every single day. 3. Growth is synonymous with Flexport, a testament to our relentless pursuit of progress and excellence. 4. We've only just begun; with best-in-class tech and AI in its infancy, the future is unimaginably exciting. 5. We partner with visionary customers who choose us because they share our vision for the future of logistics. 6. We play the long game, dive deep, and operate with humility. 7. We get to build every day—careers, processes, partnerships, customer relations. Each of us believes in the mission: to make global trade so easy there is more of it. P.S. I am hiring for Account Executives in the UK & Benelux. If you are early into your supply chain sales career and any 1 of the 7 is appealing to you, then please get in touch
What a week in Madrid! Hosting our first Flexport European Senior Leadership summit in our newest market was an incredible experience 🇪🇸 . We dove deep into AI productivity opportunities and brainstormed ways to enhance our service for European customers. And of course, we found plenty of time for fun — never difficult with this awesome group 😎 Having Ryan Petersen and Sanne Manders with us was a highlight, and our conversations about the future left me more optimistic than ever. I remain humbled to be part of such an amazing team.

What an incredible experience at this year's #WomensLeadershipConference with New Sage Strategies, LLC I had the opportunity to meet some inspiring new faces and reconnect with old friends. This year's event left me with some powerful takeaways: - Never let fear hold you back from new opportunities. - Focus on your "big 3" daily priorities to win at work and in life. - Always stay true to your authentic self. - If people think you're crazy, you might be onto something great! - Imposter syndrome is often a sign that you’re growing. Feeling deeply inspired and already looking forward to 2025! #WomenInLeadership #GrowthMindset #AuthenticLeadership

This happened this week to my kids when meeting with teachers! #KnowBetter #DoBetter The Misunderstandings of Monolingual Approaches: A Call for Change For too long, many educators have advised bilingual parents to prioritize English at home, believing that it would help their children succeed academically. While often well-intentioned, this advice is not only outdated but can also harm students and families. Research shows that encouraging bilingualism benefits cognitive development, academic achievement, and emotional well-being. When parents are told to focus solely on English, it dismisses the importance of their home language and culture. This not only puts unnecessary pressure on families but also risks alienating children from their linguistic heritage. Bilingualism is an asset, not a barrier, and students who maintain their home language alongside English often outperform their monolingual peers in the long run. Instead of urging parents to prioritize English over their native language, educators should promote additive bilingualism—encouraging students to become fluent in both languages. Building literacy in the home language strengthens English acquisition, fosters confidence, and creates a bridge between school and family life. It’s time to move away from the harmful misconception that English proficiency must come at the expense of other languages. We must empower families to nurture multilingualism and embrace the richness it brings to classrooms and communities. Educators can make the most impact by shifting from a deficit mindset to one that celebrates the diverse linguistic assets students bring to the table.
