  • It is with deep sorrow that we acknowledge the passing of Lawrence H. "Larry" Adams, a pivotal figure in the establishment and success of the Baldrige Foundation. As a senior executive at Florida Power & Light from 1987-1989, Larry was on loan to the service of our nation, where he played a critical role in shaping the future of performance excellence. Reflecting on his work, Larry once shared: "In 1987-89, as a senior executive of FPL on loan to the service of our country, it was my distinct honor to work with Dr. Curt Reimann on the Presidential Committee which created, funded, and deployed the Baldrige Foundation, of which I was the inaugural Treasurer. Since then, I have devoted countless hours of my 29-year retirement encouraging business, government, and charitable organizations to utilize Baldrige and the tremendous benefits it provides." Larry's passion for spreading the principles of excellence and his tireless advocacy for the Baldrige Framework will continue to inspire us. His leadership and vision leave a legacy that reaches far beyond the Baldrige Foundation, touching communities and organizations across the nation. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends and remain deeply grateful for his remarkable contributions. To read the full obituary, please visit: https://ow.ly/5eiK50Uptpr
