Hello to all my fellow climate champions and allies, I am thrilled to invite you to join us in the transformative Project Tipping Point course. When I began my climate activism journey, I believed that facts alone would drive change. But, as many of us have realized, that’s not enough. This course addresses the crucial missing piece: the social tipping points necessary for creating systemic change. Many of us, myself included, have been too focused on the intellect, neglecting the heart. This course beautifully intertwines both, creating a powerful tapestry centered on courage, purpose, and meaning. They cover such topics as creating a new culture, the internal manifestations of the dominant economic system, social tipping points, language, worldview and much more. You'll work through a 6-week course work co-created by Kasper Benjamin Reimer Bjørkskov, Ryan (Ra) James, Erin Remblance and join over 285 courageous people as we seek to engineer and accelerate the social tipping point where the politically impossible becomes the politically inevitable. Sign up here: https://lnkd.in/eXy-AP-c Use the code 2WAVE50 for a 50% discount. Let's come together and make a real difference. I hope to see you there! #climateaction #climatechange https://lnkd.in/gz2HBhBD

CIV:LAB 🙌🏼shows us what climate funding and community building can and should look like. I just finished reading their 2023/24 Impact Report and not only am I impressed and inspired, but I learned some key takeaways and food for thought in the nuances they identified. + Unrestricted funding is critical to ensuring organizations can carry out their missions in an impactful manner, especially smaller community-based orgs and nonprofits. + Ecosystem building leverages the connecting power to strengthen and guide organizations in scaling. Bring people together in community and in-person! + Keep reporting burdens to a minimum. + Be additive and approach new spaces by expanding understanding and developing new partnerships instead of making assumptions. Good stuff here to aid and inspire your 2025 goals. Check out the full report and catch the amazing grantees in NYC, Michigan, and LA on the journey! 🙏🏼

#ICYMI: Last week at @PolicyLink, we announced our new partnership with @Bloomberg Philanthropies on the launch of Bloomberg American Sustainable Cities, a new $200 million three-year initiative that will provide support to 25 cities, as they pursue transformative climate solutions—especially in systemically underinvested and underserved communities overburdened by pollution. Climate resilience and racial equity are deeply intertwined. If we do not act boldly, climate change will worsen disparities and continue to harm all who face structural oppression in this country. PolicyLink’s commitment to collaborating with each city is rooted in our foundational pillars: creating opportunities, advancing economies, and building just societies where everyone can flourish. Our work with Bloomberg Philanthropies and a talented network of world-class partners (@Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University @Natural Resources Defense Council @Delivery Associates and the Sustainable Cities Fund) will show the nation what’s possible when cities take local action to fight climate change. #SustainableCities #ClimateAction #ClimateResilience #RacialEquity #Collaboration #Opportunities #EconomicGrowth #JustSocieties #Partnership #Innovation https://lnkd.in/eduCXhgW

Loved the Carbon Newbie Summit for engaging all people at various points in their #carbonmanagement journey. Also helps to brain blast with Tola St. Matthew-Daniel and Ted Christie-Miller for first time buyers looking at actionable guidance for engaging with the voluntary carbon market, no matter the level of experience. To help you take climate action with more confidence, we discussed: 💡 the risks and benefits of purchasing carbon credits 💡 a few strategic pathways to minimize climate impact and mitigate risk 💡 a basic tactical buying checklist to corporate sustainability leaders Fun Reminder: 😎 buying carbon credits directly from project developers is the most direct way to get the credits needed. 😎 You can invest in the project as it's being developed, which is the least expensive option but takes the longest time to receive delivery. 😎 You can also contract for delivery, which is cheaper than market price but still takes some time. FYI our outfit choices were not coordinated. 🤓 #carbonliteracy #carbonmarkets #style
