How are the stories told within your organisation shaping its future? Research by Lisa Rossetti and Tony Wall (2017), highlights storytelling as a strategic tool that redefines experiences, clarifies challenges, and equips everyone from leaders to frontline employees to navigate complexities successfully. Imagine the possibilities when your team members narrate their lessons learnt, triumphs, or innovative ideas through storytelling. This approach does more than communicate—it creates a fertile ground for creativity, collaboration, and alignment with strategic values. Key strategies for managers: 🔴 Utilise storytelling as a catalyst for change: Help your team make sense of organisational transformations with powerful narratives. 🔴 Develop active listening skills: Encourage deep listening to client stories to enhance service design and delivery significantly. 🔴 Promote creative collaboration: Organise cross-functional storytelling workshops where teams share lessons, successes and ideas to break silos and foster empathy across different departments. 🔴 Align storytelling with organisational goals: Use storytelling to reinforce organisational values and create a cohesive narrative that drives alignment and purpose. How are you using storytelling to steer your organisation towards its goals? #Leadership #Storytelling #ChangeManagement #Innovation

🎥 The Power of Video in Leadership Communication 🚀 In today’s digital world, video isn’t just a medium—it’s a powerful tool for leadership. Whether you’re guiding a team, launching a new product, or sharing a vision, video can amplify your message like nothing else. Here are three reasons why leaders should harness the power of video: Authenticity: Video allows you to communicate with a level of transparency and authenticity that’s hard to achieve through text alone. Your audience can see your passion, hear your tone, and connect with your message on a deeper level. Engagement: People are more likely to engage with video content. It’s dynamic, visually appealing, and can convey complex ideas in a way that’s easy to digest. This makes it an ideal format for sharing updates, motivating your team, or explaining strategic decisions. Accessibility: Video breaks down barriers. It can be accessed on-demand, making your message available to a global audience at any time. This is especially crucial in today’s remote work environment, where connecting with distributed teams is essential. As a leader, embracing video not only enhances your communication but also builds stronger relationships with your team and stakeholders. 💡 What are your thoughts on using video in leadership? How do you incorporate it into your communication strategy? #Leadership #VideoCreation #DigitalCommunication #TeamEngagement #RemoteWork

Collaborative (Storytelling) ... helps with faster and better decision making and creates a sense of ownership! Last week, I was giving a presentation to a company’s top leadership level about collaboration. It was a company who know their business well. Who have always done it well. And who doesn’t want to become the next Nokia – or whatever other company you want to name missing the moment for change. I heard a lot of presentations over the last years about new work, agility, complex vs complicated etc. And for a manager or leader, as I am, I often find it incredibly interesting, but also often incredibly theoretical. How or why with what reasoning should I translate the methodologies into my structure and form of leadership. Is it safe? Is it a major restructuring? Collaboration though, I always understood. If situations are very complex, I need more perspectives to grasp it. People are extremely good at different things, why not bring them together. And if an idea is developed in one area, why not translate it directly to the other. Learning from each other is a very efficient way of developing. Do all the other methodologies find itself within this way of thinking? Hopefully ;-) Holding this presentation in front of a large group of top leaders was fun. Thinking carefully, translating the heard to their situation, reflecting, then collaboratively testing out, taking in the facts and then really and concretely thinking about what to do with it for their company. What I love so much about collaboration is, that it is a way of working, as well as of leading, of communicating and of storytelling. All while doing the same. #collaborative #storytelling #transformationdramaturgy #innovative #meaningful #storytelling
