Aktia's result for Q1 was strong, with a very good comparable operating profit of EUR 33.9 million. Result was driven by a high net interest income and good cost control. 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗳-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: ALTANA increases sales by 18 percent and continues to invest in innovation and sites   In the first half of the year, ALTANA increased its sales by around 18 percent to 1,637 million euros. All divisions and regions worldwide contributed to this growth. It was driven by a surge in demand across nearly all the company's sales markets, as well as the acquisitions made in the previous year and at the beginning of this year. Concurrently, ALTANA increased its already substantial expenditure on research and development by an additional 6 percent to 105 million euros and pressed ahead with numerous investment projects to expand its global sites. As I prepare for my talk with Christina Taylor. I’ve been reflecting on the concept of sliding doors—those pivotal moments that shape the direction of our lives. For me, as someone who’s half Samoan and half English, I know I wouldn’t have pursued engineering if I hadn’t seen it as a real possibility growing up. We can only be what we see.
