Last week, we shared the broad objectives of the ST4TE project, but what are we actually aiming to deliver? 🍃 Our focus is on providing concrete, data-driven (both quantitative and qualitative) results that will shape the future of the twin transition. Here are just some of the major outputs we’re working on: 👉 Twin Transition Inequalities Index: This EU-wide analytical tool will help to monitor, measure and benchmark the green, digital and twin transition impacts at different levels, offering insights for prioritising investments, identifying partners, and finding regions with similar challenges.  👉 A White Paper: This paper will provide short-term and long-term recommendations on policy adaptation and the development of mitigation measures to tackle the negative effects of the twin transition 👉 A Territorial Impact Report: This report will identify the existing and potential impacts of the green, digital, and twin transitions between EU regions and cities. These days I had the honor of participating in #Globsec2024 in Prague on behalf of New Strategy Center. Apart from our side event, The battle for a Free and Open Black Sea (where great speakers ilicited a full room and great conversation with the participants), I also took part in panels of interest to me. 📲 Considering the theme of my thesis, but also my participation in EduCAd, I was quite interested in the panel on technology, where I learned that there are steps taken for making technology use more accessible and an average skill for population, both by public institutions and by civil society. Of course, the focus is for the moment on the students and on older adults, overlooking the current workforce who belongs to different generations, with different needs. 🪢I also participated in panels related to disinformation and hybrid warfare, where discussions shed light on how different this kind of war looks like in different societies, but all of that with the same purpose: scaring population with war, sabotage, exploiting democracy against democracy. Still looking forward to the moment when civil society PR and marketing experts will be invited to the table for discussions, expertise and consultations. 🤝NATO and EU cooperation. Not a special subject of research, but rather a purely subject of interest, as I sleep better at night knowing Romania has partners and models that share the same democratic values. Main takeaway from here is that some believe that this is why the war started: freedom of speech, of travel, of thinking, of choice started to be appealing. Controlling the population outside their will could only be controlled with fear. Further discussions need to better define what peace looks like.
