🤲 This week, we had our last P&A group session of the year and it was beyond inspiring and insightful! We appreciate the feedback, the truthfulness and the optimism with which you all showed up and shared with us not only just this time but every since we have begun this idea! Thank you Peter Thompson, Diana Finch, Carl Quinn, Katie Dick for being such an important part of this journey and James Snelgrove, Hannah Mahoney and Yasmin Medeiros for creating the space for these conversations to happen. May this session be the beginning of the new! ✨

Do you find yourself knowing you need to talk to a colleague about something difficult or give them some hard feedback but you struggle with HOW to say it and how to start? You're not alone.... Mark your calendars for our webinar on October 22nd or 24th and get a framework to help you have the courage to have these conversations. “Choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast, or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them is what it takes to build a daring culture.” - Brene Brown

Closing out the second week at Lattice and holy mother of pearl, I can’t remember the last time I’ve been this happy at work. Here are three reasons why: 1️⃣ The lack of ego + creation of space On more than one occasion, my boss / partner in pipeline Jessica Smith had invited me to “burn down” whatever exists that’s not in service to the development of our organization She’s also been a living embodiment of collaborative leadership — inviting me into conversations, programs and evaluations without needing me to “prove” or “earn” a seat at the table. 2️⃣ The collaboration + thought partnership cross functionally Rachel Sadacca has been thee GOAT! As my onboarding buddy and thought partner for what marketing & outbound pipeline development alignment needs to be, she’s invited me to normalize thinking critically about how we do things today while also inviting me to live out our value of “what’s next?”. Something seems off? Rachel encourages me to point that out. If I see a way of doing it better, she invites me to share that out. The exhange of ideas, the questioning the status quo, and inquiry into what “better” means and requires has been SO fulfilling. 3️⃣ The eagerness of the team to learn, grow and develop It’s rare to step into an organization as a new people manager and be welcomed with open minds by the folks I’ll be coaching and supporting. Feeling so welcomed has taken out the nervousness I’d otherwise feel. So thank you so much to Aaron, Javier, Rose, Stefan, Sophia, Torrie for making this transition to Lattice easier!! I know it’s early days here AND I gotta tell y’all…ya gurl is stoked to be here!! OH!! I know I said this list was three reasons but let’s do a fourth!! 4️⃣ This is a product I actually *enjoy* using and find SO much value from already as a people manager! The 1:1 interface is flexible AF, the ability to connect my individual and departmental goals to the objectives of the company, and not needing to use 4-5 different applications to do the admin part of my people management job makes life SO MUCH EASIER. Okay, that’s all. Buh bye. 💕

In 2020, Mark Ables discovered the Dream Manager Program while watching a video during one of his C12 Forums. Intrigued by the idea, he committed to implementing a dream-managing program in his company. In this video, Mark reflects on his journey with Morgan Behrens, Ables Landscapes’ Dream Manager. Together, they share stories of growth, empowerment, and the eternal impact of helping their employees make a life—not just a living.
