Want to know the difference between a high-net worth (including business owners) client and the average one? It's taking their shot. Everyone gets opportunities. They are everywhere. Everyday. The average business owner I meet isn't involved in some high-flying tech business. They are plumbers who realize people still need their toilets unclogged. They are daycare operators who realize parents still need their kids to be looked after. They are real estate agents who realize that people still need to sell their houses. The difference between those two groups is that one took action and the other didn't. Of course, there are risks, but those who took it bear the fruits of their actions. It's our job to ensure those who took those actions are as protected as possible so they keep taking those actions. So they can multiply their capital. MAMA & PAPA WERE ENTREPRENEURS 😊 Mom would tell me stories of how she grew up. Some of those stories revolved around entrepreneurship. At the center of those were Mama and Papa She’d talk about how mama ran the finances, office operations and so forth. Papa would be out networking, closing deals and running the business operations. They went on to run one of the most successful businesses on our island. To this day many of the verticals remain. Restaurant, Excavation, Mechanic shop, The INN, Concrete Brick. I always loved those stories and would often dream of what it would be like to build something that will be long lasting. If they could do it why not me? Have you ever felt like the daily grind was taking over your life? I certainly did, especially during my two-hour commutes from Orange County to LA. It was exhausting. Then, one day while I was venting about it, a friend revealed he was also from Orange County. That sparked an idea—why not create something local? Two weeks later, 11 of us met at Fashion Island, and that’s how Orange County Joint Ventures was born. We were a diverse group—each of us with unique backgrounds in real estate, tech, and more. Despite our different starting points, we came together to form something truly special. Our group grew from 11 to 1,000 members on Facebook and almost 100 in-person! Through OCJV, I’ve developed incredible partnerships, closed numerous deals, and learned invaluable lessons. I even found my partner for my multifamily business within this group.
