In the world of ABA, there are two main factors I'd say: knowing what to do and actually doing it. Often times, the former is easy to achieve as society, family, friends, doctors, BCBAs etc...are willing to tell you what to do but might struggle to "show" you what to do. At Hear and AdHere, we aim to teach our clients by showing them what to do. Based on both my personal and professional experience, I realized that most parents "hear" what is being said but yet can not "see" what is being said within their family lifestyle, home cultural, or work schedule, and it is where change is made...adhering to what is said. I realized that most parents are willing and eager to play with their child and be an active participant of their progress but simply do not know how to practically apply what is spoken to their environment. ... And this is where Hear and AdHere comes in. We work with our families and children primarily in their homes to help them apply those behavioral strategies to their own family dynamic. We also provide the convenience of virtual parent coaching and life/adaptive skills that give parents the additional support (i.e. knowledge) to understand the significance of putting into practice those goals written to ensure progress forward. We are happy to serve a community of people needing what we offer. We cannot serve everyone but for the ones we do, we do so exceptionally well.

Caregiving can be lonely.... Loneliness is a pervasive and profound emotional state that can have detrimental effects on an individual's mental and physical well-being. When someone is lonely, it can go beyond mere solitude; it may become a visceral ache that can impact overall quality of life. Prolonged loneliness is associated with increased stress, anxiety, and even depression. Beyond the emotional toll, it can lead to various health issues. Providing support to someone experiencing loneliness is not just an act of kindness; it is a fundamental aspect of fostering a healthy and resilient sense of well-being. Offering help to combat loneliness can contribute to improved mental health, a sense of belonging, and an overall better quality of life for those struggling with this challenge.
