Our digital and financial comms experts found that companies are increasingly using dedicated LinkedIn IR channels when reporting on key financial moments. Here’s why you should consider creating your own dedicated channel: 📈 Gain insight into what your investor audience engage with to build an understanding of the content and messaging that’s most important to them. 📅 It provides a touch point with your investor audiences between the financial calendar moments. 🎤 Creates a platform for others in the management team beyond the CEO to have a voice and encourages deeper storytelling. #financialcommunications #financialresults #results #digitalcommunications

More juice for the squeeze anyone? Storytelling and questions go hand in hand. I said on Tuesday I was giving you a two-fer, that’s because not only does storytelling go hand in hand with audience engagement, but so do questions. There is no better way to engage an audience in both hearts and minds than to invite them to think about their own lives if you do it in a way that rewards that participation. Here are three tips to make sure you are getting the most juice for the squeeze with your questions. 1) Start with an ice breaker. Many people have been socialized to remain silently listening when a program is in progress. Do something easy and lighthearted to get folks participating right up front. 2) Count to 10 before continuing. If you charge ahead too quickly, your audience will assume you didn’t really want the answer. You will have trained them to remain silent even if you had hoped for participation. 3)Know why you are asking. What will you do with the response? Anything? Or will you continue your talk as if your audience had remained silent? Do you have a strategy to get people engaging deeply with your use of questions? Leave it in the comments below! When we share our tips with each other, that becomes the rising tide that raises all boats. #stickystorytelling , #cultivatingconnections, #nakedspeaking, #publicspeaking, #impactstorytelling
