On the eve of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities #IDPD, it is worth looking at what Santander UK is doing for deaf people. One in three adults in the UK are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus. People like Jane, the mother of one of our Santander UK colleagues who works in the mortgage team in Bradford. As Jane explains in the video, she has experienced many barriers as a deaf person and recognizes that communication can be difficult. That is why we are proud to have implemented various initiatives to help deaf customers interact with us across all of our channels, putting them on an equal footing with the rest of our customers: - We partnered with SignVideo in 2015, a service that helps deaf customers communicate in their preferred language, both from home and at our branches, where customers can instantly connect to a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter. - In 2024, Santander UK extended the SignVideo service to be available 24/7 and to be able to offer a call-back facility to BSL users. - Earlier this year, we also launched Signly, which translates our website into BSL. Many people suffer #stress in this country because banks don't align the unemployment payroll to their rent for their house livings (Spain, Santander mother land). Stress leads to insomnia and depression and then #mental #issues appear bringing them directly to the hospital and people with mental issues are disabled too. Banks making 800.000.000 million of profits in a year (as Santander), where in Spain are practically monopolized (we have like 4 real bank identities) should contribute to this by alignin the payroll to the 1st of each month instead of gambling with peoples necesities and healthyness. Then they cover themselves with charity campaigns that are product of their own greediness. De-Fi does not work like that. Classic banks are #evil, they just take the money #BCE gives them printed, creating debt for the future generations. Start believing in #crypto, specially took a look into #ethereums approach, because it has a wider and free ecosystem in order to rely on #Decentralized #financiation.
We are 3 disabled persons at this time in my home and Santander UK is killing me with their abusive small lettered contracts while looking into a job. 2 years ago they offered a campaing to give 400€ in spanish TV for opening a contract with them, opened the contract with them, followed the direct debit instructions with my electric company and my ISP and making what was specified in the ad... The money was never gave to me because I didnt checked to sign to the campaign (good one Ana Botín ) Now I'm in debt with them, suffered 6 psychotic outbreaks since that and the bank IS cleaning its image with media messages from the most greedy person at the time. #clap #clap #ysoab I hope De-Fi Burns your bank into ashes. #web3 IS Next gen. #ethereum rules.

Can someone please help me get my money out of Open bank? I have been trying for a month! There is no customer service, that will help. I am in the process of turning over Santander to these agencies: Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Texas Department of Banking BBB,all news channels that will listen So, if you don't want your bank under investigation by these agencies, I suggest you act ASAP! 2wHola, llevo meses tratando de arreglar una situación de un crédito de construcción en el cual hubo fraude. Santander certificó que la obra estaba al 50% del proyecto y un peritaje de la obra arrojó que no está ni al 25% considerando que tiene graves omisiones incluso estructurales. Ya les entregué varias cartas, me las han sellado de recibido pero no han dado respuesta alguna. Con qué confianza pueden sus clientes usar sus productos creyendo que Santander está de nuestro lado si en ninguna de sus revisiones de avance de obra mencionaron que no iba de acuerdo con el proyecto autorizado incluso a nivel estructural! Parece que solo les importaba dar las ministraciones del crédito para cobrarnos los intereses, porque al día de hoy el crédito se ha seguido pagando en tiempo y forma pero repito, Santander no da respuesta alguna a la situación! ¿Habrá alguien que pueda resolver?
