To celebrate OT week, I worked with a few of my fellow students to create a quiz to promote occupational therapy, debunking common myths about the field. We handed the quiz sheets out to students from healthcare courses so that they could get to know more about who they might be working with in the future. Hopefully, this provides a step towards eliminating the misconceptions that we face as occupational therapists #OTweek2024

In occupational therapy, play and smiles are essential components used to engage clients and facilitate therapeutic progress. Play-based interventions are commonly employed to help individuals develop or regain skills necessary for daily activities and improve overall quality of life. Through playful activities tailored to the client's needs and goals, occupational therapists can address areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, cognitive abilities, social interaction, and emotional regulation. #occupationaltherapy #playbasedtherapy #activitiesofdailyliving #finemotorskills #grossmotorskills #sensoryprocessing
