Outdated syllabi often focus on rote learning and outdated information, neglecting the development of essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Students graduate without the necessary skills to navigate the complexities of the modern world. Outdated syllabi often lack practical application and real-life examples. This creates a disconnection between theoretical concepts and their practical relevance, making it challenging for students to understand how to apply their knowledge in real-world situations. In an era of rapid technological advancements, outdated syllabi fail to keep pace with emerging knowledge and trends. This creates a significant gap between what students learn and what they require for success in the real world. At extreme, this becomes a major cause for unemployment. When students are presented with outdated and irrelevant content, they often lose interest and become disengaged. This can hinder their motivation, curiosity, and love for learning, leading to a decline in educational results. The introduction of digital literacy skills and technology into the curriculum is vital for preparing students for the digital age. A modern syllabus should embrace a holistic approach that goes beyond academic subjects. Majority of these subjects should have interlinked objectives and concepts which lead to integrated development of a student. This way, a student will simply never forget what he/she studied right after exams.
