Living in a small place, the most important thing is people, people having respect and a ownership of where they are from. Community is everything and very quickly our children grow up and join this community so it’s important they hold good morals and beliefs. Keeping your communities close and outside noise from weird political party agendas is key. Protecting your children is everything so at Goose on the Loose we have created a blog for parents to use to speak and share with eachother. https://lnkd.in/e8kyXn93

This one just made my day. Beautiful and heartwarming. 5 values I found in this short scene: (1) Compassion: The children showed compassion by sharing their food with the hungry child, even though they had limited resources themselves. (2) Empathy: They were able to understand the child's situation and feel empathy for his hunger. (3) Generosity: The children were generous in giving away part of their own food, demonstrating a willingness to help others. (3) Kindness: Their actions were kind and thoughtful, showing consideration for the well-being of their classmate. (3) Solidarity: The children united in their support for the hungry child, demonstrating a sense of community and shared responsibility. https://lnkd.in/dx6w2tXt

How would you define an orphan? A lot of times, we assume that "orphan" means that a child has no living parent or relative when, in reality, 80% of "orphans" have a living parent and, if given the proper support, could have stayed with their families. Learn more about how we are helping support families so every child can grow up in one. Learn more about our work: https://lnkd.in/ebq2ZCui

Stability: the strength to stand or endure: firmly fixed. Many studies show that family care is the best place for a child to be due to the stability it brings. The reality is many children go their entire childhood without family care. CFS is bridging that gap and helping many children find families. “A Moment to Grieve, A Commitment to Act” 💔💭 🌍 There are no words to capture the heartbreak our communities are feeling right now. Two school shootings in the same week, and countless lives impacted forever. As I reflect on these tragedies, my heart aches for the families, students, teachers, and staff whose lives will never be the same. 💡 This is not the time for quick answers. It’s a time to grieve, to listen, and to truly understand the depth of what’s happening in our schools. But there’s something I know for certain: We cannot stay silent. We owe it to our children, our communities, and ourselves to rise together—to be part of the conversation, part of the solution. I don’t have all the answers today. But what I do know is that I am committed—fully committed—to working toward change. At The OMNi💫Gardens, we’ve been developing initiatives that address school safety, but today is not about promoting that work. Today is about standing with the families, the students, and the communities who are grieving. Tomorrow, we will stand ready to act. 💬 I invite you to share your thoughts, your feelings, and your ideas below. Let’s come together and honor those we’ve lost by committing to a safer future for our children. #SchoolSafety #GriefAndAction #Community #TheOMNiGardens #SchoolCityInitiatives

Dear Mr. President, Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa I write to you as a concerned citizen & a deeply troubled parent, devastated by the ongoing tragedy of our children dying from illegally produced, hazardous products. Your recent letter to the nation was cold & detached, offering little solace to grieving families who have lost their beloved children to this preventable crisis. When those in power respond to such a grave issue with indifference, it becomes a profound failure, while children continue to suffer & die in our communities. This crisis disproportionately affects the black poor, the least protected & most vulnerable. These families live in fear—not only of the dangers from these illegal products but of a government that seems unwilling to take decisive action on their behalf. The silence on illegal immigration & unregulated goods is deafening. How can we allow this to continue when the very lives of our children are at stake? Bold action is needed... the South African National Defence Force must be called upon to assist in shutting down illegal manufacturing plants, recall these deadly goods, & arrest those responsible. Furthermore, we need a national call to action, urging all #SACitizens to bring these dangerous products to designated collection points for destruction. We can't sit idly while our children’s lives are treated as collateral damage in a broken system. This isn't merely a policy issue but a moral one. The lack of empathy in your response is unacceptable. As the President, you should feel the weight of these lost lives & act with urgency & compassion. Our children deserve better, as do the families who grieve their loss. Mr. President, I implore you to understand the gravity of this situation & to act decisively to protect our children. #HumanRightsWatch South African Human Rights Commission The Presidency of the Republic of South Africa Parliament of the Republic of South Africa
