⏰ May 8 Webinar ⏰ "Know Your L&D Measurement Reporting Audiences" We have spoken to over 180 learning professionals about what they wanted to change in their L&D measurement process. One trend that appeared was a need to have reporting more focused on the audience the report serves. The audiences served by L&D reporting come down to 3 audience types (excluding the data scientists that want the raw data). These audience types are: 1) instructors/designers, 2) program managers and 3) leaders/stakeholders. This session will share insights as to who these audiences are and what reports they need to be data-driven decision makers. https://lnkd.in/gu7S63T8 #learning #talent #training #measurement #analytics #webinar

Data-Driven Decision Making (DDDM) is a critical tool used by educators and professionals to support decision-making processes. By utilizing past information and identifying precise skills targeting individual learners, educators can drive the implementation of their work plan with precision. Key to data-driven decision-making is the ability to teach precision skills, which can be achieved through the use of this approach. #DataDriven #Education #DecisionMaking

✨ Bridging Theory and Practice: Decision Science in Action ✨ In today’s fast-moving world, making the right strategic choices can make or break an organization. Recently, I had the privilege of working on a project where we utilized the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)—one of the most robust tools in Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM)—to address a high-impact decision. Drawing from my background in Industrial Engineering, particularly the Decision Theory courses I completed during my Master’s, I led an analytical approach that: Defined clear criteria such as price, technology, security, and training/support. Established a hierarchical structure to prioritize these criteria systematically. Engaged domain experts to assign weights and ensure the evaluation reflected real-world priorities. Developed a comprehensive scoring model to rank the options, ensuring our recommendation was not only data-driven but actionable. This project reinforced my belief in the power of structured methodologies like AHP. It’s not just about selecting the best option; it’s about empowering organizations to make informed, strategic decisions confidently. 💡 For me, this experience was also a reminder that while frameworks and tools are powerful, their effectiveness comes from how well we connect them with human insight and expertise. I’m always eager to discuss innovative approaches to decision-making, data-driven problem-solving, and strategic analysis. If you’re exploring challenges in these areas or are curious about applying similar frameworks, let’s connect and exchange ideas! #StrategicDecisions #DataDriven #Analytics #ProblemSolving #DecisionMaking #IndustrialEngineering #ProfessionalGrowth

What does it take to drive successful customer insights? Here are some of the learnings after attending Insights Management Academy session at the Quirk’s Chicago. - successful insight teams see market research and customer analysis as a means to an end. - successful insights teams have evolved from being data-hunters to knowledge farmers. - the researchers must understand the customers of their insights: in other words senior decision-makers within their own company. - insights team must aspire to influence decisions that they didn’t even know were being taken. - besides technical skills researchers must develop skills in influencing, storytelling, commercial awareness, critical thinking and problem solving. - insights teams examine the decision- making processes around them and figure out where and how they would need to intervene to have the most impact. #cx #insights #customerinsights #research

📌#ACMPWebinar TOMORROW (10/1): Attend our next #ACMPWebinar: https://bit.ly/3BornPy 💻 Reducing Insidious Bias in Change and Decision-Making 🗓️ Tuesday, October 1, 2024 🕐 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT 🎙️ Ed Cook, PhD Everything can be perfect in the analysis of a continuous improvement process. The data has been cleaned and prepped meticulously. The analytic tools are perfectly selected. The analysis itself is flawless. And then...the project dies in the conference room because of the executive decision-making process that flat out fails because too little attention is paid to practices that introduce bias into both the decision-making and change processes. Even if the project makes it out of the conference room, the change effort too can hold an insidious bias that can tank the effort. It can even diminish the culture as people feel marginalized because of a biased change management process. There’s a method for making the group decision and implementing a change that reduces the bias just as an analyst removes bias in the data. In this session, the group will learn this process so that they can execute it themselves and save a beautiful project from landing in the dustbin because the decision-making process would otherwise tank. Although the work is based on a couple of decades of practical application and academic research, the presentation format and style is based on teaching this method in the MBA program at the University of Richmond. It is interactive and engaging but laced with the underlying research that gives it substance. This session is driven by a case study of a company that needs to make a decision and then implement that change.
