I believe recognition for good work should inspire gratitude and humility. While the employee volunteer efforts of this organization were truly commendable, I was disheartened by the lack of grace shown by those who accepted the award on their behalf. Leadership is not just about results—it’s about how you represent the values of your team and the spirit of the moment. This experience reminds me how important it is to lead with gratitude and integrity.
