With the closing of Saks Global’s acquisition of Neiman Marcus Group, we are best positioned to drive innovation for the luxury consumer. Between our combined talent, expertise, heritage, relationships and data, we will ensure each brand experience delivers luxury perfectly curated for each customer. #SaksGlobal
I’m pleased to share that Saks Global has completed the highly-anticipated acquisition of Neiman Marcus Group (NMG), marking a groundbreaking milestone for our company and the luxury retail industry. Officially bringing the renowned Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman brands to Saks Global creates the largest multi-brand luxury retailer in the world. Together, we have a unique opportunity to truly redefine luxury shopping so that each customer's experience is unmistakably their own. I look forward to welcoming an exceptional team of talented NMG employees to Saks Global, and embracing the opportunity to harness our collective expertise to transform the way we serve consumers. I’d also like to express my utmost confidence in our go-forward leadership team, who will lead this transformation and drive Saks Global into the future. #SaksGlobal https://lnkd.in/ePY7Nwwx
The merger seems to be hindering Saks from paying vendors since the spring. Hoping this changes soon!
Congratulations on your impressive new Saks Global portfolio, as the largest multi-brand luxury retailer in the world. Wishing you much success ahead ! 🎉
Wonder how that works out for former Saks employees some of which were top sellers who then left to work for NM
Another comment I have is this> remember barneysny mess? With the problems of not paying suppliers? Hmmm Saks is having this problem and Baker holds off on payments as I read in a trade paper. I'm worried that they'll destroy NM and BG. And that lousy Commenity bank disaster Saks store card. This is a whopper of errors run amok.
😯 Looking forward to see how this shows up on NM sales floor.
I’m excited to see the future of the luxury market in the U.S. Saks and NM are the leaders of the luxury market here and I hope they continue to bring their unique qualities to the stores!
Its a shame that two former fashion leaders are about to be no more. This merger is the final iceberg....And they are the Titanic.
Great…another monopoly this time of luxury retailers.
You need to fix your store card debacle. ITS A SERIOUS DEBACLE.
