🎬 Q1 that’s a wrap .. Do you know your way around your shop!? 🛒 Let’s jump back to the late 90s … One of my first weekend jobs, I got the opportunity to join Waitrose & Partners, by the time I left, I learned new skills and worked in many departments, including Meat & Patisserie, Cashier and even the fish counter 🐟 (not so great when you have plans on a Saturday night!) . What I learned from this experience, the importance of customer service. We had brilliant training, including always taking the customer to the products, not just point, or say the aisle number, and introduced them to a partner if they needed more information.. We knew our way around our store.. ⭐ These key values of client service and focus are still my core values today, as it was back then and at the very heart of what we do at WTW, and the foundation of our Insights programme. The purpose to enable and empower our colleagues to understand more about our business to help clients with their needs of today, and tomorrow.. To help colleagues find their way round our WTW shop, and to colleagues who can help, as we say, “when you get one of us, you get all of us”.. ⭐ For 2024, we have delivered a refreshed programme, and delighted to have Bouke Goeman joining me who is now taking the lead on our sessions for our Health, Wealth & Career business, whilst I focus on Risk & Broking, to bring new insights and learning for our European client community. It was a busy quarter and we are proud to have delivered: 🎯 7 sessions covering .. Emerging trends, #CSRD, #Cyber, #Investments, #Mergersandacquisitions, Embark, and #GeopoliticalRisk 🎯 1,900+ colleagues joining the sessions. 🎯 18 presenters Not only are these sessions a great opportunity for our colleagues to learn, its a development opportunity for teams to present to a large audience, work as a team, and an opportunity to grow their network. We are grateful to our colleagues for being part of the programme, so with that.. 🙏 A big #thankyou to all our presenters this quarter: Anne Pullum, Angel Hoover, Martin O'Neill, Julien Hornacek, Torolf Hamm, Fiona Ribbons, Simon Desrochers, James North ACII, Zoe Beasley, Sarah Hopkins, CFA, Jana Mercereau, Giles Murphy, Beatriz Pavón Sánchez de la Blanca, Hans de Goeij, Jo Holliday, Sam Wilkin, Alex Hardwick and Patrick Rogers. 🙏 But this would not been possible without our fantastic team that work with us on this programme, so big thanks to Claire Gardener, Karan Patel, Bhavya M., Catherine Boughton 👏 #coaching #development #learning #empowerment #sales #insurance #thankyou #riskmanagement #wtwperspective #asmarterwaytorisk

It’s amazing what 30 minutes watching (or better, performing) a process can tell you. Nowhere near enough people take the time to get under the skin of their businesses. #operationalexcellence #leadership #gemba #continuousimprovement
Closer to Customers and Closer to Colleagues are two of our core values at M&S. I spent today working the early shift alongside our colleagues at M&S London Colney, including on the checkout. We came away with a long list of ideas and actions to help our colleagues serve customers even better. So now it’s over to us. Thank you to William Holden and Emily Hammond for working alongside us today and for being challenging on what we can do better. This is leadership. When was the last time you saw a company simultaneously announce it was closing a location AND retaining/redeploying all of its staff? Usually, such announcements are cold, impersonal, and contain language that was flushed through a corporate jargonator. This is warm, positive, and inspirational - three emotions that are notably absent in so many organizations today. Reducing headcount so you can hit an arbitrary magic number, set by a non-operator in a cubicle miles from your business, and calling it a "growth strategy" isn't leadership. It's advanced Excel manipulation at best. Making a strategic decision to adjust course, keep your amazing talent in-house, then leverage that talent in new and different ways... THAT'S leadership. That's the type of organization I want to see grow and thrive. 321 Coffee is not only leading the way in #neurodiversity at work, they're setting an incredible #leadership example that needs to become the rule, not the exception. Congrats to Lindsay Wrege, Michael Evans, and the entire 321 Coffee team on the launch of the North Carolina State University location! Keep crushing it!
To our 321 Coffee Community, We have loved every moment of our last two years in Durham and growing within this vibrant community. As we look towards the fall, we have made the decision to not renew the lease for our Durham shop at the end of this summer as our team transitions to launch our newest location on NC State’s Centennial Campus. We’re thrilled that you’ll still be able to see our Durham team working at our other shop locations around the Triangle, as well as through events with the 321 Coffee Cart! We are proud to be retaining everyone on our team. With great opportunities ahead of us and great people on our team to achieve them, we’re excited for the future. Thank you Durham ID, Longfellow, and all of our loyal customers and partners for making the Durham location possible, and contributing to the amazing memories and community we created in this space over the last two years. The last day to visit 321 Coffee’s Durham location will be Saturday, August 3. Thank you, Durham, for an incredible journey. Here’s to new beginnings and continued connections! With big love and gratitude, Lindsay, Michael, and the 321 Coffee Team #321Coffee #SpreadLove #InclusionMatters #CoffeeLovers #Inclusion #Positivity

PORT ST. LUCIE — Named among the 50 best places to live in the U.S. by Money magazine for 2024, Port St. Lucie, Florida stands out for its expected job growth of 10% by 2028 and the abundance of parks and recreational areas. The city, Florida's sixth-largest, is expected to see job growth of 10% by 2028, fueled by a burgeoning 3.5-mile warehouse district along Interstate 95 hosting major companies like FedEx, Amazon, and an upcoming Costco distribution facility. This facility alone is anticipated to create over 500 jobs. Port St. Lucie's appeal is also bolstered by its 60 parks, recreation areas, and events, including the Saints Golf Course, Eggstravaganza Easter egg hunt, free River Night events, and the McCarty Ranch Reserve which offers a range of outdoor activities. Categorized by Money as a "new boomtown," the city was evaluated based on criteria such as livability, equity, sustainability, affordability, and community engagement. #portstlucie #stluciecounty #treasurecoast
