They can be a leading authority on the World Series, but that doesn’t do them a bit of good if the categories before them are Shakespeare, U.S. History and 20th Century Women. Related Fetty Wap Becomes ‘Jeopardy’ Answer 11/10/2015 On Wednesday (Sept. 25), one of the categories was Grammy Winners for Album of the Year. The first sign that the contestants were not music experts was that they steered clear of the category for much of the game. When they finally did go there, they collectively came up with just two correct questions. If you’re a music expert, you would probably have gotten four or five right. (One of them was hard, for reasons we’ll explain.) But then, we’re all music fans here. Give us Ancient Greece as a category and it will be our turn to struggle. Here are the two the contestants collectively got right. Would you have also gotten them? “This Whitney Houston soundtrack won the award in 1994.” The correct question: “What is The Bodyguard?” “The first woman to win the category, Ms. Garland, took the prize for Judy at this New York City venue.” The correct question: “What is Carnegie Hall?” And here are two where no one even ventured a guess. “The first of Taylor Swift’s record four album of the year Grammys was for this album in 2010.” The correct question: “What is Fearless?” “Billy Joel was a ‘Big Shot’ in 1980, winning for this album that bears of the name of a thoroughfare.” The correct question: “What is 52nd Street?” Here’s one where a contestant took a crack at it and missed. “Dreamland by Glass Animals might be the response to this album that made Billie Eilish the category’s youngest winner ever.” The correct question: “What is When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ The convoluted phrasing of this question — The Glass Animals reference was meant to be a clue, but it probably just threw the contestants off — made this a hard one. One of the contestants ventured, ‘What is Sleep?’ Another factor: When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? is a long title, and even if you know it, it’s hard to get all those words exactly right – especially under such pressure. (Professional editors have been known to have to double-check it, even all these years later, to make sure they have it right!) Jeopardy! was created by TV legend Merv Griffin, who had a top 10 hit on Billboard’s Best Sellers pop chart in 194

𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠. After a two-year break, countless tests and trials, both in the studio and beyond, on August 9, 2024, it was finally time to step out of the shadows. The shadows where, everyday, I worked tirelessly to elevate my name and my music to heights I had never reached before. My goal? To create something in 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴𝘵𝘺𝘭𝘦 that no one had ever seen before. No commercial bullshit—just my story, my vision. Even though it was a risk, I followed my heart and God. 😶🌫️✝️ Now, three months later, 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐌 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐒 has broken my personal record for the fastest 15,000+ streams ever. We’ve grown from around 100 to over 4,000 monthly listeners, and the track has been added to almost 1,000 playlists—all independently, without a label or marketing agency, driven solely by passion and hard work. For the big names in the scene, these numbers might be modest, but after two years away and with a team of two (my girlfriend and TROWFIGHTER creative director, Cheryl Kamping, and myself), I’m incredibly proud of this achievement. TICKETING PROFESSIONALS NYC 🚕 I'll be moderating a panel of arts organizations utilizing dynamic pricing for TPC NYC. Joining me in New York are three organizations, all of whom have experienced tremendous success. 💰 On the panel we'll have Daniel Palmieri from The Grand in Wilmington, DE Michael Traupman from Bucks County Playhouse in Pennsylvania, and Andy Lovell from The Second City in Chicago. Three VERY different organizations. One that self-produces, one that presents, and one that is a sketch comedy institution (think Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell) with over a thousand performances a year. 🤯 What they all have in common is a need to align their prices with patrons perceptions of value. They'll talk about the joys and tribulations of having an automated system like Vatic's managing their pricing. What surprised them the most during their pricing journey. And what advice they'd give to an organizations considering making the change from manual updates to algorithm led pricing decisions. 🙋♀️

My first concert was the Wu-Tang Clan at Summer Jam in Newark. I think the first band or musical artist you ever saw is very telling... I went to high school in Stamford, CT and one of my favorite things about Stamford was the range of cultures and landscapes. Everyone mixed and mingled together. It didn’t matter how smart or athletic you were. Someone would put on 90s hip hop at a random party in a parking lot and everyone would get up and do the electric slide (yes you heard me right, the electric slide). As I have gotten older, I think a lot about how that music brought us all together and how music and art have a unique ability to transcend boundaries and connect people from all walks of life. Whether it's a mural brightening up a neighborhood, a community theater production, or a local music festival, artistic endeavors have the power to foster shared experiences, encourage dialogue and understanding and celebrate diversity. Investing in the arts doesn’t only support creativity (always a good thing), it builds stronger, more cohesive communitiies. Last year when our company re-branded the Louisville Orchestra, we learned that the orchestra was born as a means to inspire the rebuilding of Louisville, Kentucky after the great flood of 1937… if that’s not the holy grail of examples on how the arts can inspire unity and strength, I don’t know what is. And the Louisville Orchestra continues to follow in the footsteps of their founders with continual outreach in their community; building bridges with youth and underserved people so that everyone has access to the arts. We always take pride in the work that we do, but there is something incredibly gratifying about supporting the arts and galvanizing people within a community, especially during these very divided and challenging times.
