✨At RPC, we love to make good deeds happen. That's why we're proud to be part of the #GivingTuesday initiative for the third year in a row. This month, we participated in the Christmas from a box project through Robme radosť, n.o. , supporting the Emauzy Asylum Centre in Holic, which provides its services mainly to abused women and children. Together, we’re bringing joy to 28 children and 20 mothers with thoughtful gifts and care. 🎄✨ 🧥 And in November, our incredible team took part in a clothing donation collecting several bags of warm winter clothes for those in need. A huge THANK YOU to our colleagues for their generosity and compassion in making these initiatives a success. 🌍💙 Let's continue to spread kindness, one good deed at a time. 🌟 #RPC #GivingTuesday #Vianocezkrabicky

Who are the forgotten women? Why care about somebody I don't know? It doesn't impact me, so I don't need to bother myself with it..... Let's break the stigma and their silence, stand up, and educate ourselves and those around us. Support those without a voice and those who are too scared, embarrassed, or worried about judgment! 'The Forgotten Women', over 40,000 Queensland women over the age of 55 are homeless. Sadly this figure is due to increase twofold by 2036! With over 700 based in greater Brisbane. That is 700 women who are someone’s aunt, mother, or grandmother, struggling to keep their heads above water, often doing so in silence. I am calling all my LinkedIn friends, family and colleagues, Stand with me and support my team, we are taking on the Live Like Her Challenge 2024 to help more homeless women over 55 into homes. For one night, we will sleep in a car to raise awareness and funds for The Forgotten Women project, an initiative that is close to our hearts. This initiative hits close to home for me. I have seen close friends struggle to find suitable accommodation for their families, especially elderly mothers and grandmothers who have even had to couch surf with only the clothes on their backs and without the medication some need due to having to decide which bill to pay, the house, power or food?? We can never judge one's circumstances, but we can certainly change our thought process and help rather than hinder. For some, homelessness is due to financial strain, domestic violence and, in some situations, families who don't want anything to do with them. In a situation most of us could never imagine, these women often hold their heads high and suffer in silence, but they deserve a warm, safe home. Let's help raise awareness for such a worthy cause. To support us, click “Donate Now” to make a secure online donation as “Everyone deserves to live with dignity and age securely in place”. https://lnkd.in/gNZuyqEJ All donations over $2 are tax-deductible, and you’ll receive an automatic receipt via email. Thank you for your generosity and support. In the great words of Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” 👨👩👧👧 👭 👬 💛 #LLHC2024 #livelikeherchallenge #empowerchange #educateyourself #joinmetomakeachage #homelessness #livelikeherchallange2024 #theforgettenwomen #communityservice #inittogether #fundraise #brisbane #qld #womenmatter #family #beboldbebrave #communityimpact #initiative #breakthesilence #downerutilities

💙 This Giving Tuesday: Be the Change That Matters. At Fathers' UpLift, we witness extraordinary transformations every day—fathers finding their way back to their families, breaking through barriers, and uncovering hope they once thought was lost. But none of this would be possible without you. This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking for your support. Your generosity fuels our mission to provide healing and hope through Direct Services, Reentry Support, Father-and-Mother Allyship, and Workforce Development programs that transform lives—one father, one family, at a time. 🎯 Our Goal: $50,000 by year’s end. Every dollar raised is more than a donation it’s a lifeline. It’s a father finding the courage to rebuild. It’s a child feeling the steady, loving presence of their dad. It’s a family breaking free from cycles of absence and trauma. ✨ Imagine this: The gift you give today could be the moment a father discovers his strength, the moment a family shares joy this holiday season, or the moment a child feels truly seen. 💙 Your generosity doesn’t just change lives it saves them. 🌟 Donate Now and Be the Difference: https://ow.ly/L4Ej50UfPlK Together, let’s create a future where fathers are uplifted, families are united, and hope knows no bounds. #GivingTuesday #FathersUpLift #MakeADifference #StoriesOfHope #UpliftFamilies #HealingTogether

This sign could save a life. For women facing abuse, hope can come from the smallest things—a kind word, a safe space, or even a sign on a storefront or car window. When you sponsor a room at Halton Women’s Place, your support doesn’t just stay within the shelter walls. The Shelter Her decal you display spreads a powerful message of hope and safety throughout the community. 💜 Here’s why it matters: It lets survivors know help exists—and where to find it. It shows the community that you stand against violence and for safety. It can be the sign that leads someone to the help they so desperately need. Sponsoring a room isn’t just a donation; it’s a beacon of hope. Together, we can create a safer community. ✨ Be the sign that saves a life. Sponsor a room today. https://lnkd.in/gFjh_rse #ShelterHer #HopeInAction #EndViolenceTogether #HaltonWomensPlace #SupportSurvivors

Toyin thought she had lost everything ,her voice, her strength, her hope. But then she found a shelter that did more than provide safety. It gave her tools to heal, a community to lean on, and the courage to dream of a better tomorrow. Survivors of gender-based violence, like Toyin, need more than just healing ,they need empowerment. Support networks, from shelters to counseling centers, are lifelines that help survivors rebuild their lives step by step. At the heart of this work are local organizations tirelessly creating safe spaces and restoring dignity. But they can’t do it alone. Imagine what happens when we step in: ✅A kind word: Share survivor stories and breaks the stigma. ✅A helping hand: Volunteers to make an impact. ✅A small donation: Fuels hope for someone starting over. Every action makes a big difference. What if we all did one thing to strengthen these networks? What if you could be the reason another survivor like Toyin finds hope again? This is our call to act. Let’s start the conversation and be part of the change today. #Day3 #CommunityEngagement #SDG5 #SupportSurvivors #EndViolence #16DaysOfActivism #NoExcuse #GenderEquality

I have a confession—despite having a fantastic and meaningful job in leadership at TGV, there are some days when it’s just hard to get out of bed and keep doing it. Today is Give Out day - an opportunity to contribute $ to a LGBTQIA+ org (and have those donations doubled by other philanthropists) but it’s not JUST about fundraising… It’s also about GRATITUDE. In a world where so much healing and social change is needed, our sector does much heavy lifting… and it’s exhausting. It’s not just stigma & discrimination that impacts LGBTQIA+ orgs (who receive 5 cents in each dollar that supports other ‘mainstream’ NFPs). For trans and gender-diverse-led organisations, it’s also the profound cost of peer work in which embodied trauma impacts 100% of staff, volunteers and the communities we serve - and the impossibility of giving those costs a dollar value. On the days in which it’s hard to keep going, gratitude helps! My highlight of the week took place at a tram stop yesterday, when a community member said, ‘Hi, thanks for all your work!’ Gratitude is what keeps us going. If you have a dollar spare today, we’d love your donation. Otherwise please share your gratitude by sharing the ‘give out’ call with folks you know who have gratitude AND money! https://lnkd.in/gMvpznrp #transgendervictoria #TGV #giveoutday
