Today is World Mental Health Day At Riverdale we are working alongside The Lighthouse Charity. This wonderful and much needed charity, offers free and confidential advice and support to construction workers and their families no matter what they’re going through. They visited our sites back in early September and gave a talk to everyone of our site staff. We want to ensure our teams feel they are supported and listened to, as and when they need it. @wearelighthousecharity #worldmentalhealthday #mentalhealthawareness #construction

‼️ Overnight, our tiny charity InspireUK - The Charity has been inundated with referrals for subsidised and low-cost mental health therapy. We need your help delivering this. So, what can you do? 1) Do you know therapists who might be willing to provide a limited number of free or low cost therapy sessions? Must be BACP registered. Please introduce us! 2) Can you donate? Any finances that come to us go directly to our client work. We have no employees, only tireless volunteers. https://lnkd.in/eYm5tnhe 3) Can you spread the word about both points 1 and 2? Repost this, send it to your friends, tell your family! We help people who face a myriad of barriers to accessing mental health care via traditional routes. The overnight flood of referrals we have received is bittersweet. We feel honoured to be in a position to help so many people but we also recognise this is a symptom of an ever-surging mental health crisis, and broken systems that desperately need repairing to sustain long-term public health, wellbeing and happiness. Help us to continue being one of the many charities who act as a safety net and stop gap for those who are struggling.

🌟 Join Us in The Push-Up Challenge! 🌟 This June, The Clarke Murphy Team and I are taking on The Push-Up Challenge 💪 to complete 3,249* push-ups between June 5-28, 2024, raising funds and awareness for mental health through the incredible charity, Lifeline. We invite you to support our mission in two impactful ways: ▶ Sponsor Us: Make a tax-deductible donation to our fundraising page. Every dollar helps #pushforbetter mental health outcomes in Australia. ▶Join Us: Whether you're a friend, family member, or just enthusiastic about the cause, you can join our team! *If 3,249 push-ups sound daunting, don't worry. You can set your own goal, even half the target, or substitute push-ups with other exercises. Feel free to ask me any questions, and... a word of warning: start doing a few push-ups beforehand! Last year, I went in cold, and it was a shock to the system!. 💪 😖 Your participation and support can help save lives and promote mental well-being. 💪❤️ #ThePushUpChallenge #MentalHealthAwareness #LifelineAustralia #Fundraising #PushForBetter #ClarkeMurphyPrint #CMP #CMPforyouandme #DrupaPushUps?

#CharityTuesday, Team Natta is thrilled to announce that we have renewed our membership with The Lighthouse Charity, a fantastic charity offering free emotional, financial, mental and physical support to construction workers. As a proud ‘supporter’ we have signed their Mental Health Charter. This initiative ensures that we provide our staff with a good understanding and awareness of poor mental health in the workforce. We recognise the importance of promoting positive mental health. 💜 Our staff have access to a mental health hub, containing useful information to support their needs. We have also rolled out their Construction Industry Helpline App to provide confidential and quick support. #Supporter #Charity #Community #Support #TeamNatta

At the Randal Charitable Foundation one of our core pillars of support is 'mental ill health', which is why Mental Health Awareness Week is such an important campaign for the life-saving work we deliver with our charitable partners. We focus on supporting causes that provide intervention, which tackles the root causes of mental ill-health. This includes helping people living with severe mental health difficulties to recover and then prosper, as well as providing assistance to young people, families and those who find themselves disadvantaged through no fault of their own. We also support causes which come to the aid of those suffering loneliness and isolation. Another key focus area is helping the most in need in-order-to prevent suicides, which claim thousands of lives each year in the UK alone. Examples of our work in this area have seen significant support for technology development of a suicide prevention app, the provision of a text service for vulnerable young people and face-to-face appointments with mental health volunteers, as well as support with service and staffing costs to enable the life-saving work of mental health and suicide prevention charities to continue. Breaking the cycle of addiction, which destroys lives and affects the whole family, is another priority, and our work in this area is helping addicts to recover, and their families to rebuild their lives. Did you wake up today and feel like life is just not worth living? Well, I hope not. But just for a moment as you read that question, you might have glimpsed an insight into the dark world that many people suffering from mental health disorders can face on a daily basis. And unlike the physical health ups and downs that we all experience as a normal part of life, untreated mental health issues can spread like its inky blackness to all corners of a person's life for many years. There are many noble causes to champion, but it is the invisible and life long suffering that I have seen in good people with mental health issues that really concerns me, and especially young people in the complex world we have created for them to live in. I'd like to ask you to help me do something about it. This year is my fourth year leading a team of Port Melbourne legends in the Push Up Challenge. It's a simple thing (sort of). We each do one push up for every life lost to suicide last year over 24 days, and ask you to donate to the cause. Unfortunately that means each of us needs to do 3,249 push-ups, but we will get there! To donate go to my challenge page: https://lnkd.in/gpNeD8DP And of course, you will get a receipt to claim as your donation is tax deductible. My donations are going to Headspace. Even if you don't donate, thanks for reading this far and spending a moment focusing on mental health. Perhaps you know someone to ask RUOK.

🌟Mental Health Awareness Week: Supporting Our Community 🌟 Today let’s focus on the power of support within our communities. By supporting small businesses, charities, and our community, we can create a ripple effect of positivity and well-being. 🛍️ Support Small Businesses: Our local businesses are the backbone of our communities. By shopping locally, we not only boost the economy but also foster a sense of belonging and support. 💖 Support Charities: Charities play a crucial role in providing essential services and support to those in need. Consider donating your time, resources, or funds to a cause close to your heart. 👥 Supporting People: Sometimes, the best support we can offer is a simple act of kindness. Reach out to your neighbors, friends, and family. A small gesture can make a big difference. Together, we can build a stronger, more supportive community. Let’s make this Mental Health Awareness Week a time of connection and compassion. 💚 #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #SupportLocal #CommunitySupport #SmallBusinesses #Charity #MentalHealthMatters #totallypsyched
