It’s Monday so remember to honor and recognize our hardworking construction field management and craft teams in our organizations. They are the backbone of our industry and deserve our celebration when we succeed. While overcoming challenges and navigating various communication protocols, let's not forget to embrace the tangible progress of building. Remember: 1. Incorporate project milestones into the project management plan and celebrate their successful completion. 2. Establish meaningful traditions in the field to shape the future of our growing organization. 3. Commend both team and individual accomplishments. A cohesive team draws inspiration from one another and propels each member to greater heights. 4. Organize field promotion ceremonies filled with joy, camaraderie, and genuine emotions. Invite friends, family, and mentors to join the celebrations. Each promotion is a significant milestone in our careers and deserves to be celebrated grandly. Let's also ensure that the efforts of our project management teams, who tirelessly promote the glory of our buildings across the country, receive the recognition they deserve. Inspiring leadership by Justin Garza, MBA, and Gordon Berry leading our South Dakota team on a project that will bring patients Electronic Medical Records through building a hospital stand-alone data center and subsequent telecommunication rooms. #constructiontitan #purposebuilders #projectmanagement #construction #designbuild #projectmanager #superintendent #qualitycontrolmanager #ssho #projectengineer #scheduler #teams #celebration #hiring #careers

The best Project Coordinators, Contract Administrators, Project Managers and Site Managers all have the same thing in common… They are willing to stick their neck out. They take chances. They speak up. They don’t try to people please. They are there to get the job done. Sticking your neck out earns you respect and trust in an industry where this is crucial. You’re good at your job if you determine what is right for the project and are willing to speak up. You’re great at your job if you learn to do so with a subtle understanding of what communication style will work best with different parties.

This post is going to offend every Construction Manager but I'm not posting for feel good's, I'm posting to help the industry change and be better. 🌶Everyone in the industry thinks they are the best. You hear it from every person in the trades, every GC, every PM, Every. Single. Person. 👉If you want a real evaluation of how you are as a PM, don't ask your direct supervisor or anyone in upper management. 🔥They'll say you're doing great if you don't cause them a headache, which isn't a good standard to manage by. If you think you're even a decent project manager, take this challenge. 🔥Ask your superintendent "How am I as a Project Manager?" 🔥🔥They'll give you some BS answer then lean in and say, "No, really, I want to know what do you think of me as a Project Manager. I want real feedback." 👉You aren't going to like the answer, I promise you. But this is the way you learn what you actually need to do to see where you can be better. 👉If you don't care to be better, then don't take the challenge. It literally doesn't affect me either way. Here's the real kicker, if you do this, post verbatim what your super had to say or message me and I will respect you keeping it to yourself but I'd like the feedback to help others! 🔥🔥Until you get real feedback, you won't ever be a great project manager. Here's your chance. #construction #constructionmanagement #fromblueprintstoboardrooms
