Learning about Client Servicing from the K-Drama 'My Demon' Korean dramas aren't just entertaining because of their attractive appearances, but the story and characters also contain positive values that we can apply in the workplace. Specifically, 'My Demon' showcases Do Do-hee, who always maintains her appearance, Jung Gu-won, who is always confident, Ju Seok-hoon, who is reliable, and Park Bok-gyu, who is loyal to his superiors and the company. Thus, I'd also like to thank the PR INDONESIA Group and Mbak Ratna Kartika for giving me the opportunity to express my love for the world of K-dramas and PR in an article featured in issue 107 (March - April 2024). #HindiraCommunications #HindiraInsights #prtips #prinsights #prwriting

Early morning meeting in Nagatacho. Climbed the steps to visit Hie Shrine 日枝神社 as I had extra time. Was able to witness an interesting interaction between 5 monks trying to to either put up or take down a 幕 or fabric banner. What interested me was their lack of verbal interaction AND care for safety! One up a ladder with a big pole. 4 monks surrounding with little input. Eventually one took the pole while the monk on the ladder then was able to use his hands. And finally one stepped into actually hold the ladder after many minutes of peril which I was recording. Worried I was about to witness a #monktastrophy My takeaway from the lack of verbal communication, seeming lack of concern for safety, is not that there is a lack of concern or failure in protocol. I had a very clear feeling that communication isn’t always verbal. The group was there, working together, ready to support but never in the way. No need to vocalize needs. This may have been the most Japanese moment I’ve experienced in years. When you are part of a tight team in Japan, verbal communication in some areas is replaced by nonverbal cues. Reading those cues is second nature to someone raised here. But impossible to see for inexperienced foreigners. This is exactly why foreign businesses need to incorporate native understanding in communication practices, corporate messaging, branding, advertising, etc. Communication style and culture need to be understood to effectively engage in the Japanese market. #hieshrine #localization #japanesecommunicationstyle #japaneseculture #marketinginjapan

🌈Breaking into the Japanese Market: Key Strategies for Voice-Over Artists🎙️🇯🇵 Hi everyone! 🗣️🎙️ It’s great to see so much interest in the Japanese voice-over market. However, I’ve noticed comments about the challenges of entering this market. My friend, a director involved in TV shows and advertising, mentioned that "foreign voice-over artists struggle to connect due to language barriers, as many Japanese people have a strong reluctance towards English." Given this, here are some practical tips to help you navigate the Japanese market: 🍏Expand Your Search Beyond English While searching for "production companies in Japan" in English is a good start, many Japanese companies may not have English websites. To broaden your search, try using Japanese search terms as well. 🍏Utilize Effective Japanese Keywords To find the right opportunities, use Japanese terms like “動画制作会社 多言語” (multilingual video production companies) or “制作会社 バイリンガル” (bilingual production companies). These keywords will help you get more relevant results. I’ll share more tips on connecting with the Japanese market in a future post, so stay tuned! Looking forward to your thoughts and discussions! 🌟👇 #VoiceOver #JapaneseMarket #ProductionCompanies #BilingualProduction #VoiceOverArtist #GlobalNetworking #JapaneseSearch
