We often prioritize our own needs and goals, leaving little time for others. However, taking the time to give back and accept help can have a profound impact on both our personal and professional growth. Connect with Annick Verboven Verboven for your 30 minutes, free and individual. The session is in Microsoft Teams. Join our community of Euro Wellness Leaders today and embark on your journey towards a happier, healthier you! https://lnkd.in/eVns7sVy Why Giving Service is Important Fosters Connection: Serving others helps us build meaningful relationships and connect with our communities. Boosts Self-Esteem: Helping others can give us a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Develops New Skills: Volunteering and providing services can help us learn new skills and expand our horizons. Creates a Positive Impact: Giving back can make a real difference in the lives of those in need. Why Accepting Service is Important Reduces Stress: Allowing others to help us can alleviate stress and burnout. Promotes Self-Care: Accepting help is a form of self-care, as it allows us to prioritize our own needs. Builds Stronger Relationships: When we accept help, we show others that we trust and value them. Encourages Reciprocity: By accepting help, we create a culture of giving and receiving, which benefits everyone. The Power of Exchange When we engage in a service exchange, we create a mutually beneficial relationship. By giving and receiving, we learn from each other, build stronger connections, and make a positive impact on our communities. So, let's make a conscious effort to give back and accept help. Together, we can create a world where service and support are valued and appreciated.

How do you help people feel and be part of their community - as well as living well at home? Michelle Livesley has some answers from her work at Wellbeing Ventures
In our first free 'Principles into Practice series' webinar for #SocialCareFuture we shared some of the things we tested out when we were getting to know what matters to people and were co-designing the service that they wanted from us in #WellbeingTeams. The 'getting together for good days at home and in the community' asks what people would like to get involved in, it could be trying something new or getting back into something they used to enjoy. This helped us match to colleague interests and passions, resulting in colleagues leading sessions for people who had that shared interest. Now, this isn't a new approach by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a practical way to find out what kind of things people would like to do and get it going. I'm currently working in Camden and only today, the new wellbeing workers have been using the gifts of the head, heart and hands questions to do a bit of a passion audit and we are using the 'good days' questionnaire to see what the possibilities are. 🤲 Supporting mental health has never been more important than it is right now. Polling commissioned by the TUC revealed that employees are reporting increased workplace intensity and more significant pressure at work, with 55% of workers feeling that work is getting more intense and demanding, and 61% of workers saying they feel exhausted at the end of most working days. [1] 😣 In addition, union health and safety representatives told the TUC that factors relating to work intensification are some of the most common workplace hazards they encounter, with 59% identifying stress as one of the most common hazards. [1] We are here to help by offering a unique and impactful way to support your workforce and bring Zen right to your workplace, particularly in light of Stress Awareness Month. 🤗 We build bespoke programmes to suit the needs of any organisation we partner with—you book the bus for a half or full day, we take a brief, design you a programme and then all your employees need to do is turn up and reap the benefits! Working with TZP also helps you support the wider community, as we fund our community work in part with any profit from the corporate work we do. We are open to offering sessions and support to your chosen charities and community organisations; it's all part of the service! 💼 Ready to bring Zen to your workspace? Reach out and book us for a visit! #WorkplaceWellbeing #CorporateWellbeing #StressAwareness [1] TUC: Work Intensification, 2023

Join Us for a Night of Impact and Inspiration Are you passionate about workplace safety and ensuring every worker returns home to their loved ones at the end of the day? As someone deeply involved in workplace rehabilitation, I understand the challenges of helping individuals recover from injury and return to work. While existing support systems are valuable for those who get injured, the harsh reality is that some workers tragically don’t make it home. This devastating outcome not only impacts families emotionally but also imposes a significant financial burden during an already overwhelming time. Unfortunately, current support systems often fall short, creating a crucial gap that the Touched by Christopher Foundation is dedicated to bridging. We provide vital aid precisely when it’s needed most, ensuring families receive the support they need during these critical moments Join us for the Touched by Christopher Foundation 2024 Gala Dinner to support this vital cause and make a difference. Event Details Date: Thursday, 17 October 2024 Venue: Doltone House, Darling Island, 48 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont, NSW 2009 As we celebrate our 5th anniversary, we're excited to host our second Gala Dinner, following the resounding success of our first event. Last year’s Gala was attended by 567 guests and sold out quickly, reflecting the community’s strong commitment to workplace safety and support for affected families. Why Attend? The Touched by Christopher Foundation was established in memory of Christopher Cassaniti, who tragically lost his life in a workplace incident on April 1, 2019. Our mission is to honour his legacy by promoting workplace safety and providing critical support to families in their time of need. Our Impact: We offer essential aid to families who have lost a loved one in the workplace, including 3 months’ worth of groceries and assistance with outstanding bills. This year, we aim to expand our support to include 3 months’ worth of mortgage or rent, addressing a more comprehensive range of financial needs. Get Involved: Your presence at our Gala Dinner can significantly impact our efforts. Participate in our major raffle to win a BMW 118i M Sport valued at $57,513! Raffle tickets are available at $150 each or $400 for three. Secure Your Tickets Now Booking packages and further details are available on our website: https://lnkd.in/gsZwRQP7 Together, let’s strive to reduce workplace fatalities and enhance our support for those impacted by such tragedies. I, along with Robert Migliore, Director at Actevate Pty Ltd and a fellow member of this charity, invite you to join us for a memorable evening and help us make a lasting difference. #TouchedByChristopher #WorkplaceSafety #GalaDinner #SupportFamilies #FundraisingEvent #CommunityImpact
