In my morning reading, in the book "How Women Rise", this struck my soul. " The transition from achiever to leader can be particularly hard for highly competitive men, who have difficulty recognizing that, as leader, their job is to make everyone else a winner. Women are less likely to struggle with this... although they like to win, they tend to be less interested in winning for themselves than helping their organizations or their teams win." Whew, that is validating. Imagine rising more women into leadership positions and the impact that would have on organizations ✨️🥰 To my women out there, what are your thoughts?

I will speak plainly, directly and honestly about what it takes to earn real power as a corporate woman. Why? Playing small, being nice, and waiting for their achievements to be noticed have left women out of the C-suite and leadership positions where they belong. I will never couch what I say or try to soften my message to make someone more comfortable. I care too much about getting women into meaningful leadership roles to do anything but cut straight through the BS and share what really works if you want to get ahead. When I first stepped into my role as a founder, I thought being a leader meant having all the answers and making every decision. I couldn't have been more wrong. My journey taught me that true leadership is about creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
