I reached out to 15+ influencers for a campaign and only 4 got back to me. 🫠 For full transparency, it was a paid campaign for a sexual wellness brand so I understand the hesitancy in wanting to take on a project on this topic (by the way, I only reached out to those that fit the bill, not folks who were way out of the niche). However, I think responding and letting people know that they wouldn't be comfortable with/won't move forward is much better than ghosting. Only because... if I ever source for another brand/niche, guess who I won't be going to? 😬 Communication is everything, I totally welcome rejections!! I even appreciated receiving an email letting me know they wouldn’t be able to! Every connection is worth it and I will always think of you when sourcing for another opportunity. Anyone else have any thoughts? 💭 P.S. I did end up filling this campaign already! But I welcome anyone for new connections or future campaigns. :)

I'm still on the lookout for my next role in marketing and social media, and while I'm here, I wanted to share a recent marketing win that reminds me why I love what I do. At one of my last roles, I led an influencer campaign that reached over 3.5 million people on Instagram and brought in 63,000 new TikTok followers, all in 21 days and with a budget of $0. Yes, you read that right: zero dollars. It was a testament to the power of strategic planning, strong relationships, and creativity. Here are three tips I learned from this campaign: 1. Form actual relationships with influencers: - Don't just throw money at influencers and expect a result. - Treat your influencers like partners, not just "marketing tools." - Build genuine connections and align your goals with theirs. This leads to more authentic content and better engagement. - Long-term relationships with influencers and content creators will make all the difference. 2. Be budget-smart: - Never underestimate the power of non-monetary incentives. - Access to your product, spotlighting their stories, or collaboration opportunities can go a long way in creating meaningful partnerships that don’t strain your budget. 3. Drive impact: - Set clear goals, but stay adaptable. - We adjusted our messaging and content approach to not just boost vanity metrics, but drive to the company's bottom line. You can still be exhausted, work hard, have good and bad days. Yep.. even if you love it. Loving your job makes it much easier to feel the passion It makes it easier to give it your all It makes it easier to sell, to market, to contribute.
