Summer is traditionally a part of the year that resonates with different recreational activities. Yet, many tech teams’ members, especially team leads, keep working on their duties regardless of the season. That’s why we created a short list of things and tasks for tech leads that suit the summer season the most. Please take a look: Sourcing and hiring new specialists. According to Djinni.co, summer is one of the most popular times for job searching. Only the second half of December and January are traditionally more prosperous with new job applicants in the Ukrainian IT sector. So, as a tech lead, you can fruitfully spend the summer searching for new team members and sourcing candidates. Teambuilding processes. Summertime is a great time for beach parties, picnics, holidays, and other team-building activities. As a tech team lead, you should definitely try to use these three months to create a better, more friendly atmosphere and build trust inside the collective. Learning. It’s not a big surprise that lots of employees and clients prefer to take vacancies during the summertime. So, the workload remains pretty low, and lots of free time appears in tech leads’ schedules. It’s a great time to learn something new, including expanding management skills, improving soft skills, and deepening hard skills. #techlead #teamlead #summer #QulifiedConsulting

🚨 New Joiner Alert! 🚨 Welcoming fresh faces to the team is exciting, but let's be honest—there’s nothing like the pure chaos of a new joiner trying to figure out if they should click “Reply All” or not. 😅 Interns, we love your energy and ideas, but please—stop trying to fix the coffee machine. It’s older than you and just as temperamental. ☕️👴 Pro tip to all new hires: The company’s favorite buzzword isn’t “synergy” or “innovative.” It’s “Who’s bringing snacks to the meeting?” 🥨🍪 On a serious note, we’re thrilled to have you on board. Remember, every seasoned professional was once a clueless newbie. (And yes, we still sometimes feel like one too.) Here’s to growth, awkward icebreakers, and hopefully fewer “mute button” fails on Zoom. 🎉💼 #NewJoiners #InternLife #WorkplaceHumor #OnboardingJourney #HRLife #RecruitmentFun #ProfessionalGrowth

🌟 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗬𝗼𝘂! 🌟 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 and 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 often bring a slowdown in tech hiring. Why? • Holidays: Companies and candidates alike are busy with year-end festivities. • Budgeting: Organizations finalize next year’s plans, delaying new hires. • Year-End Goals: Focus shifts to wrapping up current projects. But don’t let this discourage you! After this brief pause, hiring surges in January as companies kick off fresh initiatives. Use this time wisely: ✅ 𝗨𝗽𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹: Learn new tools or tech. ✅ 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸: Build meaningful connections. ✅ 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲: Polish your resume and goals. Remember, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. Stay focused, keep learning, and get ready to grab 2025’s opportunities! 🚀 What are you working on this season? Let’s inspire each other! 😊 #motivation #developercommunity #upskill #holidays

Here are 3 ways to entice top talent to work for you: #1 Compensation Sorry, but there’s no getting around this one. If you want TOP talent you better pay TOP dollar. Know what the market is offering, and go 20% above average. #2 Flexability Top talent doesn’t want to be micromanaged under flourecent lighting 5 days per week. Offer a remote or hybrid model. Allow discretionary PTO. Don’t ping them the second their slack isn’t green. Treat adults like adults. There’s nothing top talent hates worse than being held back and treated like an unpaid intern. #3 Dream Big! You hear me say it all the time, but the same goes for other companies. You need to dare greatly. You need to dream big. You need a lofty mission and vision. Top talent is enticed by being a part of something bigger than themselves. They want a challenge. Being an industry disruptor and having the success to back it up is a great way to get the best of the best wanna join your team. If your best employees dream big to achieve their goals, why shouldn’t you? Hope these help. Happy Hunting 😊

🌞 Reflecting on Our Summer Social 🌞 A few weeks ago, the Indiespring team came together for our annual summer event, and it was a day filled with laughter, connection, and a reminder of why this place is so special. One of our team members perfectly captured the vibe: "Indiespring is a special place to work, and these guys are all legends!" It’s moments like these that remind us of the importance of building a team where everyone feels valued and supported. In the business world, we often talk about strategy, innovation, and growth, but here's a simple truth I've learned: Surround yourself with great people—people who lift each other up, share in the successes, and tackle challenges head-on—and everything else becomes easier. It's not just about skills and experience; it’s about character, attitude, and the way we treat each other. When you focus on hiring and working with genuinely good people, the workplace transforms from just a place to work into a community because when you build a team of legends, the sky's the limit. 🚀 #TeamCulture #SummerSocial #Indiespring #WorkplaceValues

5 Ways Students Can Use Their Holidays to Shine in the Job Market As an early talent recruiter, I often see students return from breaks more prepared and polished for the professional world—or in some cases, not! The holiday season is a perfect time to balance relaxation with a few strategic moves that can set you apart. Here are my top tips: 1️⃣ Polish Your LinkedIn Profile Think of LinkedIn as your professional storefront. Update your headline, add recent projects, and use a high-quality profile picture. Bonus points if you write a quick post sharing a recent learning experience or project. 2️⃣ Network Strategically Attend holiday mixers, alumni meetups, or local events. Reconnect with mentors or professors over a quick coffee. Even casual conversations with family friends could lead to unexpected opportunities. 3️⃣ Enhance Your Skills Use platforms like Coursera or LinkedIn Learning to pick up certifications in Excel, coding, design, or public speaking. Just one or two courses can make your résumé stand out. 4️⃣ Reflect and Set Goals Take an hour to think about the last semester. What did you enjoy? Where did you struggle? Use these insights to set intentional goals for the new year. 5️⃣ Tailor Your Application Materials Revamp your résumé and cover letter template. Research the companies you’re targeting and think about how to tailor your pitch to them. The holidays are about more than just rest—they’re an opportunity to prepare yourself for future success. What’s your go-to holiday productivity tip? Share below—I’d love to hear it! #CareerTips #HolidaySuccess #InternRecruiting
