#WorldMentalHealthDay Since I've opened up about my own workplace nightmare (within the confines of a NDA - and that's another issue!) I have heard story after story of people abused, bullied, threatened, assaulted, ostracised, burned out and exposed to the most awful things in their workplaces. We should all be safe at work, and supported to report risks, hazards and incidents. Reporting is a safety mechanism and should not mean losing your job. I'm convening a roundtable at the upcoming AAS Conference for the AnthroSafety Working Group. "Securing Our Fields: Toward Safer Research and Practice" "Exploring and advancing workplace safety for anthropologists across the spectrum of research and professional engagements. This roundtable will include presentations from the AAS AnthroSafety Working Group and the CNTA Safety & Risk in Professional Native Title (Anthropology) Working Group (SRPNT(A)). We'll be discussing physical and psychological workplace safety and, practical risk mitigation strategies for our research and professional practice field sites. Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion considering specific opportunities for action in a variety of professional settings." It'd be great to see you there. In the interim this is a great page to explore, NSW Code of Practice: Managing psychosocial hazards at work: https://lnkd.in/gTjCiNSD

Portland was a good demonstration that we’re on the right track regarding taking Mahindra Racing back to the very top of #formulae. To be regularly in the duels (top 8 for qualifying) now shows the progress we’ve made this season. Sometimes in the races themselves things go your way and sometimes they don’t. That’s the very nature of competitive motorsport. But the underlying trend continues upwards and that’s credit to the whole team. Much more to come next season. But before that, the final weekend of our current season - London in 3 weeks time! #sustainablemobility #electrification #energytransition
“Confirming that we are on the right way!” The final reaction from Portland where we achieved our best result of the season so far ⚡️🇺🇸

In 2024, Rare supported new community-managed protected areas in: 🇧🇷 Brazil — In Pará state, Rare accelerated designation of two new marine management areas (a.k.a., Resex) spanning 185,329 acres along the Amazon Coast. We supported the federal government’s Instituto Chico Mendes De Conservacao Da Biodiversidade (ICMBio) to expand the Chocoaré-Mato Grosso Resex by 11,367 acres, ensuring conservation of nearly all the state’s mangroves. 🇵🇼 Palau — Palau’s Melekeok state government placed an area of ocean under community-led management for the first time. Rare supported the designation process and has collaborated with local fishers to enable them to manage the newly protected area sustainably. 🇭🇳 Honduras — the designation of the Trujillo Marine Site of Importance for Wildlife (604 miles) will protect 12 nautical miles from the city’s coast. Rare is working closely with ICF, the government agency responsible for managing protected areas, to propose legislation establishing exclusive artisanal fishing rights along Honduras’s Caribbean coast. Sharing this issue of The Leaflet. Gaetan Pelletier and his team have done an excellent job of covering the forest value chain. While specific to New Brunswick, this is worthwhile reading for anyone interested in #Forestry. Remsofts own Marie Eve Fillion and Jessie Moura Contributed a fun fact for this issue - see if you can find it! #supplychain #forestmanagement #ForestIntelligence
OUFF, the team pulled-it off with still 3 weeks of winter left :). I am proud to announce that our winter edition of the leaflet is now available in both official languages here: https://lnkd.in/e9h8udUG In this special edition, we cover the all important forest products value chain with particular focus on New Brunswick. Thank you forest NB for the valuable contribution and to Jennifer, Storm and many others at NHRI for this great product. Thank you Anik Charbonneau for your help as well. Happy reading everyone!
