Inspiring Acts of Sportsmanship: A Lesson for Us All In a memorable display of integrity and sportsmanship, Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was just a few feet from the finish line during a cross-country race in Burlada, Navarre, on December 2, 2012, when he mistakenly stopped, thinking he had completed the race. Spanish runner Ivan Fernandez, who was right behind him, realized what was happening. Instead of taking advantage of the situation, Fernandez started shouting at Mutai to continue running. When language barriers prevented understanding, Fernandez pushed Mutai forward, ensuring he crossed the finish line first. When asked why he did this, Fernandez responded, “My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life where we push and help each other to win.” He emphasized that Mutai was the rightful winner and that taking advantage of the confusion would not have been a true victory. This story reminds us that true success isn’t just about winning—it’s about integrity, respect, and helping others. These are the values that we should pass on to future generations. Let’s embody these principles in our professional lives. Let’s uplift each other, celebrate rightful achievements, and strive for a community where everyone’s success is honored. Because in the end, honesty and ethics are the true victories. #Sportsmanship #Integrity #Leadership #Values #Inspiration #fyp #risebyliftingothers

The Power of Sportsmanship and Humanity Do you remember the incredible story of Kenyan runner Abel Mutai, who was just inches from the finish line but was mistakenly convinced he had already crossed it? He stopped in his tracks, unaware that the race was not yet over. Behind him, Spanish runner Ivan Fernandez saw the confusion and shouted encouragement to Mutai, urging him to continue. Despite the language barrier, Fernandez's gestures spoke louder than words, and he physically pushed Mutai forward, guiding him to victory. When asked about his selfless act, Fernandez replied with a profound sense of humility: "My dream is that someday we can have a community where we support and push each other to win... I didn't let him win; he was always meant to win. What honor would there be in a victory achieved through someone else's confusion?" Fernandez's words strike at the heart of what truly matters: not winning at all costs, but winning with integrity, compassion, and empathy. His actions serve as a powerful reminder that our values are passed down through generations, shaping the fabric of our society. Let us teach our children the beauty of kindness, the strength in humility, and the power of a helping hand. For in the end, it is not about winning or losing, but about the values we uphold and the positive impact we have on the lives of others. #Inspiration #Sportsmanship #Humanity

In a world often focused on winning at all costs, this story of true integrity stands out. During the Burlada Cross Country race in Spain on December 2, 2012, Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was leading the race when he mistakenly stopped short of the finish line, thinking he had already crossed it. Spanish runner Iván Fernández, who was right behind Mutai, saw what had happened. Instead of seizing the opportunity to take first place, Iván chose to do something extraordinary. He shouted at Mutai to keep going, but Mutai didn’t understand Spanish. Realizing this, Iván gently guided Mutai to the finish line, ensuring he secured the victory he rightfully earned. When asked why he didn’t take advantage of the situation, Iván replied, “He was going to win. The race was his.” He added, “What would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor in that medal?” Iván Fernández’s actions remind us that true victory isn’t just about crossing the finish line first. It’s about integrity, respect, and helping others to achieve their best. This story teaches us that the values we pass on—honesty, ethics, and compassion—are far more important than the accolades we might gain. As the world turns its attention to the Olympics and sports are a hot topic, let’s remember and share stories like these that highlight the essence of true character. This isn’t just about sportsmanship; it’s about the values that define us as human beings. Let’s inspire each other to build a community where we push and help each other to succeed. Because in the end, true winning is about lifting others up. #Olympics #Compassion #Integrity #Inspiration #Values #Running #Kindness #TrueCharacter

Losing ethically = winning | Triumph of the spirit Pushing each other to greatness: the power of selfless sportsmanship A few seconds before the finish line, Kenyan runner Abel Mutai stopped, thinking he had already crossed the finish line. Spanish runner Ivan Fernandez, who was behind him, saw this and realized that Mutai had stopped due to confusion. Fernandez shouted at Mutai to keep running, but Mutai didn't understand Spanish. Fernandez then pushed Mutai from behind, helping him cross the finish line first. After the race, a journalist asked Fernandez why he let Mutai win. Fernandez replied, 'My dream is to create a society where people push each other to succeed, not to win at the expense of others.' He added, 'I didn't let Mutai win; he was already winning. This was his race.' Fernandez's actions and words reflect a strong sense of sportsmanship, integrity, and humanity. He chose to prioritize Mutai's success over his own, demonstrating that true victory comes from helping others succeed, not just winning at all costs. This story highlights the importance of values like integrity, sportsmanship, and kindness. It shows that our actions and choices can create a positive impact on others and society as a whole. By promoting these values, we can create a better world for future generations. Conclusion for living life fully: * Prioritize helping others succeed over personal gain. * Embody integrity, sportsmanship, and kindness in all aspects of life. * Recognize that true victory comes from lifting others up, not just achieving personal success. * Create a society where people support and encourage each other to succeed. * Leave a positive impact on the world by promoting values like integrity, sportsmanship, and kindness. If athletes can put aside their differences and support each other in the fierce competitive world of sports, why can't we do the same in life and in our professions, where the stakes are even higher, and the rewards of collaboration and kindness are even greater? What do you say? #dcspl #tamarohr #sportsmanshipmatters #integritywins #kindnesscounts #helpingotherssucceed #liftingeachotherup #positiveimpact

South Korea completed a clean sweep at Paris Olympics archery! As a proudly global Korean living in Hong Kong, but a Korean always, I was ecstatic to see the South Korean archery team winning all five gold medals in the event of archery. Aside from enjoying the moment of victory, I pondered why Korean archery is so strong. As mentioned in the article, the Korean archery team's victory lies in transparency and fairness. In the selection process for the national team, current ability is more important than anything else. Academic ties or regional background is not important. After selection, they must be able to endure harsh training. In addition, they were not hesitant to try a new way of doing things such as actively using AI technology in the training. The example of the Korean team is literally common sense. However, it is unfortunate that this obvious thing is not often applied in reality. How a company succeeds is no different from how to succeed at archery. #SouthKorea #Archery #ParisOlymipics Sue Baek CHANGWOO LEE Young Joo Lee Damien Green Yangwoon Chung Joongsoo Joe Sunhoe (Sonny) Kim
