Roles had changed and i mostly felt miserable in 2014. Let me explain: Back in my ERP consulting days the role of a PM was very hot. As a young consultant trying every bit to make it big in Pune, I was in awe of project managers. They did big meetings with the bosses, Rode big sedans and threw parties at pub. I wanted to be that guy in 2005. I became one, very young - But then things changed after 7 years. By 2014: Technology became cooler than managing scope, Architects yielded power to even stop projects, Big data & ml folks pulled more CTC than many Senior managers, I felt cheated by the system - But I accepted & reskilled in technology again. To re-skill is very much possible, How will you know, if you dnt try to re-skill? Agree with me?
