"LORDCOnes" This morning, I received an email sent to all employees at Lordco's Head Office about an activity tagged as a "Brain Break," where we will customize traffic cones for the upcoming fair at the PNE. The sender initially framed it as a simple call for help with the project, emphasizing the need for participation in customizing the traffic cones, but from my perspective, this activity offers much more than just completing a task. It’s a creative and engaging way to involve employees in enhancing the company’s brand visibility by allowing us to personalize the cones with stickers. This seemingly simple action of randomly placing stickers transforms the cones into unique representations of our brand, contributing to a memorable presence at the upcoming fair. Moreover, it serves as a refreshing "brain break," providing us with a welcome distraction from our usual office tasks, fostering team spirit, and encouraging creativity. As a new employee at Lordco, I look forward to more activities like this that have an impact on shaping the company culture. Great example of how a team works as a single unit over a fairly long time frame. while they're celebrating 3rd anniversary in a new avatar, I have seen them working together as far as my memory serves - more than 10 years for sure. So, what's the mantra to stick together as a team for over a decade 1. Complete autonomy and sense of ownership. Decision making including very strategic ones such as partner selection is done with everyone agreeing to the same. 2. Total transparency - everyone knows everything about the company including access to the CEO's email ( not advocating this as a best practice though 🤣), but nothing can be a greater example of transparency 3. Direct and no nonsense communication style including arguments 4. Complete flexibility in working hours. Family priorities come first for everyone and other team members support the person who needs time away automatically. These are few of my impressions as an outside observer who has seen this team through ups and downs.
