At Onetera, we believe in fostering community well-being by creating intelligent, responsive ecosystems and investing in today’s emerging leaders who champion innovation and change. Throughout November, Onetera hosted Brandon Karagozian, our first Coro Southern California Fellow in Public Affairs. Brandon worked alongside Dr. Sylvia Jauregui, a Coro Women in Leadership alumna, where he was an asset in supporting Onetera Economic Development. Brandon aided Onetera’s public-private partnerships across city leaders and stakeholders and curated case study success metrics for future pilot programming and platform deployment. We are honored to share our collaboration with Coro Southern California to support future changemakers who are ready to take on our region's toughest challenges with vision, resilience, and innovation. Thank you, Natalie Samarjian, Abril Iñiguez-Rivas, and the Coro Southern California team, for selecting Onetera as a host organization. A special shout out to the Fellows in Public Affairs Program (FPPA) and Women in Leadership (WIL). We are confident that Brandon will be critical in redesigning how community members and city staff connect! Felix Ruano, Haripriya Rao, Jasmine Kim, Meghana B T, Lara Hattatoglu, Jesus Camacho

As we recruit our 10th cohort of Voqal Partners Fellows, we reaffirm our commitment to bold, transformative change. Our approach is anything but conventional. Initially, though, we were hesitant. We listened to the critics who doubted the efficacy of upending the whole damn system. Here’s what we’ve learned: True progress often comes from the periphery, where people are unencumbered by conventional thinking. These people see the world differently because they’ve had to navigate it differently. Their ideas, born from necessity and creativity, have the potential to revolutionize. Innovation often comes from the edges - those with lived experiences outside the mainstream, whose perspectives offer fresh, unorthodox solutions. In the margins, we find the seeds of true transformation, waiting to be nurtured and grown. Do you have an idea that needs space to flourish? Do you know a community leader who can use a supportive cohort? The application for the 2025 Fellows is open until October 31. https://lnkd.in/eJa99YMT

Congrats to our Co-Founder, Dr. T, on her new board appointment! In 2018, Dr. T was in the food stamp line, wondering how she could create a better future for her family. Today, she’s changing the face of tech in Nashville—leading and serving in spaces where she’s often the only one at the table. This journey is a testament to the power of resilience, vision, and the determination to create change, not just for oneself but for others. As a neurodiverse and diverse technologist, Dr. T embodies what it means to lead by example—being the voice and representation so many need to see. Her work shows how we can lift as we climb, creating opportunities and making seats for those who are often overlooked or underestimated. This isn’t just about her—it’s about all of us. Together, we can break barriers, build tables, and ensure no one is left out of the conversation. Let’s continue to celebrate and empower those who lead the way for a more inclusive and equitable tech industry. Here’s to Dr. T and everyone committed to lifting others while reaching new heights! #RepresentationMatters #NeurodiverseLeadership #ReppedInTech

Earlier this month, Tracy Gibbons, MRED represented NAI Elliott at CREW Portland’s luncheon panel, “From Policy to Practice: The Real Impact of Public Programs on MWESB Growth.” The discussion highlighted how public programs drive inclusion for Minority, Women, and Emerging Small Businesses (MWESBs) through access to opportunities, financial support, strategic partnerships, and advocacy for equitable policies. Key takeaways included the benefits of: • Access to contracts and procurement opportunities • Financial resources through grants and loans • Strategic partnerships for long-term success • Networking to foster valuable relationships • Advocacy for equitable policies • Community-focused economic development Panelists also emphasized the importance of accountability and relationship-building, highlighting that real estate thrives on trust and collaboration. CREW Portland, a local chapter of the national CREW Network, plays a vital role in advancing women’s careers in commercial real estate. With over 230 local members (12,000 members nationwide), the organization fosters leadership development, business connections, and career outreach, ensuring a more inclusive and successful future for women in CRE. Thank you to CREW Portland and the inspiring panelists for this impactful conversation and thank you to Tracy for representing NAI Elliott at such an inspiring event! #CREWPortland #DiversityInCRE #MWESB #WomenInCRE

Sparked by Susan Colantuono’s incredibly generous post this morning, I feel compelled to share some thoughts on self-promotion. Susan, someone I deeply admire for her powerful TEDX talk on "The Career Advice You Probably Didn’t Get" and her insightful books *No Ceiling, No Walls* and *Make the Most of Mentoring* , has unexpectedly amplified my work. The value of her support is not just personal; it highlights an important professional strategy. In my coaching practice, I spend significant time reframing self-promotion—what I like to call “connecting the dots for others” so they can better understand you, your team, and the work you do. This is foundational for achieving both personal goals and adding value to your organization. However, self-promotion often feels uncomfortable for many because it can seem self-aggrandizing. Here’s where the concept of a “wingman” comes in. A trusted wingman—someone in your sphere who advocates for your strengths—can transform how you’re perceived. It’s more than a strategic advantage; it’s an organic, reciprocal act. When you amplify the work of those you respect and value, you often see that goodwill come back to you in the most powerful ways. We tend not to trust claims people make about themselves as much as we do the endorsements of others. That’s why having a wingman to share your achievements holds far more weight. Imagine my surprise and gratitude when Susan, without ever having met me, took this step today. What Susan doesn’t know is how often we refer to her work in the Carnegie Mellon University Women’s Executive Leadership Academy, and that her books are well worn staples that I share with clients, and so to see her amplify my efforts is humbling and inspiring. Let’s keep this circle of reciprocity growing. Amplify those you believe in, and watch how that energy returns!

Are there any women in business in here? I want to let you know about our awesome community and what an MIB International Networking Leader does in the local community. In essence: Network Weekly Online with us in MIB Success Hub Attends Leader Development Sessions (usually 2 per month) Post daily in your community Grow your FB and local community Plan, organise and fill at least one networking event per month in your local area Be the go-to person in your community We're looking for a new leader for both and Kildare our Meath communities as I host larger international events nationwide. Mums in Business Int. Networking Navan, County Meath Mums In Business Int. Networking North Kildare and Kildare Besides seeing our ladies hold each other accountable, this is one of the best parts of my role as a leader in MIB. Seeing our babies, toddlers, smallies and teens get to come along and grow with us too. We literally get to watch businesses, communities and families grow; it is such a privilege. If you are a badass boss, with a drive that would give a Ferarri a run for its money, you're ok with hearing no but it's not usually a problem because you know how to melt objections before they even show up and you love bringing people together so they can flourish with a little nudge from you... then hit us up and fill out this form and book a first call to discuss bringing Babies in Business, I mean 'Mums in Business' to your local area or county under our license programme! https://lnkd.in/gpex7fUm Aislíng P.S. We are a community for all women in business you do not need to be a mum or bring children to our events but be aware there may be children in attendance and you've got to be ok with that. #MIBInternational #Networking #ChildFriendly #BusinessNetworking
