Why Salt CLICKS. People often ask - what does your name mean? Why Salt? Well, because Creativity is as essential as Salt. My hope is for our students to become inspired storytellers, honorable citizens, and shapers of history no matter what career path they choose - to become the Salt of the Earth using their art to inspire, communicate, create change, and make our communities beautiful. At Salt, our program is a professional development experience that puts students on a path towards college and careers as creatives. 100% go to college and we have alumni publishing and exhibiting significant work in the creative industry. The kids have access to: 📸The best photo equipment from top brands - the same tools the professionals use. 🧑🏫Professionals who train them - the Photographers, Creative Directors and Editors that have made it in New York City. 🎨Exhibition - the ability to exhibit their portfolios in an art gallery. 📈Exposure to the real work world where creativity is applied by professionals who earn a living with their art and design skills. We believe - if you can see it, you can be it and you never know the moment it will click with a kid. NYC Salt is so much more than just a photo class - we are a family, a bridge and a launchpad - it’s a place where students are able to bring their life into focus. It’s what makes us unique.
