How BWRT (BrainWorking Recursive Therapy) Can Help Rewire Thoughts and Emotional Responses: BWRT works by addressing the brain's response to triggers before it reaches conscious thought, helping to "recode" automatic responses to stressful events. Process-Based Therapy: BWRT allows individuals to tackle depression without needing to discuss the triggering event in depth, making it effective for trauma-related depression. Effective for Reactive Depression: BWRT helps patients break out of depressive cycles by targeting and restructuring the patterns that reinforce negative emotions. Book a free 30 minute session with Kim to discuss how she can help: https://lnkd.in/eQv6t5N2 email: info@bwrtsurrey.co.uk #bwrtsurrey #bwrt #depression

Evidence suggests that up to 60% of patients taking antidepressants for major depressive disorder experience emotional blunting (the inability to feel emotions). Recent data from a multi-country survey points to a disconnect between patients’ and physicians’ perceptions on the prevalence, severity and impact of emotional blunting on people with major depression. Greater awareness of emotional blunting and its impact could help guide treatment pathways that help patients achieve full functional recovery. Long-Term Mental Health Risks After COVID-19 A recent study published in Nature Human Behaviour reveals that survivors of COVID-19 are at an increased risk of developing psychiatric disorders such as mood, anxiety, and sleep disorders, especially if they were hospitalized. The study also indicates that vaccination may reduce these risks, highlighting the protective effect of vaccines against the development of new psychiatric disorders. This research underscores the need for long-term strategies to identify and treat individuals affected by these conditions to mitigate the growing mental health burden post-pandemic.#saltwellness #metalhealth #careergoal #studentcareergoal #saltwellnessandtrainingservices #mentalwellbeing
