NSI Technologies, LLC’s Post

Hello Everyone and thank you for joining us weekly during our live Wed(NSI)days! This week we are excited to welcome Charles Hager, Hydraulic Fracturing and Reservoir Engineering Advisor / Consultant Charles will be sharing a presentation titled: Improving Productivity Over Slickwater Fracs Slickwater Fracturing has come to dominate the USA stimulations industry for low permeability Horizontal Well development. This talk will present a case where Slickwater may not always be the best choice to maximize productivity. As Slickwater is a thin fluid, proppant will drop according to Stokes Law which creates sand duning effects. As proppant drops to the bottom of the generated fracture planes, production controlled by UnPropped Fracture Conductivity. By switching to a Hybrid Frac, a Delaware Basin operator was able to achieve over 3 times (3x) productivity in the Woodford, as compared to the alternating slickwater stages placed down a lateral. These results were measured with dozens of unique tracers and a two-month shut-in pressure buildup test. This talk will discuss the integrated history matching process and post stimulation results which confirmed the step-change in productivity. Join us this week in welcoming our guest speaker and participate in what is sure to be a great discussion!
