These are times where we still fight to avoif the worst, but will need to adapt to the changes already in motion. There is a lot to be learned from communities that have been dealing with weather, sismic and other extreme natural conditions. The development of "Sponge Cities" as a resilience and adaptation action in the face of climate change seems like a hopeful vector of urban development and regeneration. This sentence struck me as a very positive call to action: "The sponge city may not be delivered all at once, but perhaps project by project, pore by pore, it can emerge from collective efforts."
