👍 This article by Francesca Perry in Friday's Financial Times is a great read (https://lnkd.in/gxViXzze). The development of "Sponge Cities" as a resilience and adaptation action in the face of climate change seems like a hopeful vector of urban development and regeneration. This sentence struck me as a very positive call to action: "The sponge city may not be delivered all at once, but perhaps project by project, pore by pore, it can emerge from collective efforts."

These are times where we still fight to avoif the worst, but will need to adapt to the changes already in motion. There is a lot to be learned from communities that have been dealing with weather, sismic and other extreme natural conditions. When I watch this video, I feel a lot of respect for the ingenuity and courage of this community. #sustainability #climatechange #innovation #architecture
