Technology isn't a magic wand that will solve all student issues, but when it is used thoughtfully, technology can support student engagement and learning. Alice Keeler put together a good list of six tools that can support learning in your classroom this year: https://lnkd.in/gYMPyFeH

I recently came across this interesting platform, Humbot. It is a unique tool that offers educational support to students, especially designed for improving comprehension in Science and Math. While facilitating interactive study and active learning, Humbot seems to epitomize a blend of tech and education which is quite impressive. I thought I'd share this helpful resource here for anyone who may find it useful. Here’s the URL: www.humbot.io Give it a look!

Unconscious Bias Training: Bias Busters🤩 We had an amazing online training session with the quantum science and technology community from the Quantum Flagship ! Thank you to all the participants for the lively interaction and active participation! 💫 Our “Bias Busters” workshop aimed to equip our participants with practical tools to manage unconscious bias in the workplace. They explored biases through theoretical frameworks, self-assessment tests, and data, establishing a solid foundation. 🎩 In online break-out rooms, we used a decision-making technique, such as the Six Thinking Hats, and provided them with strategies to reduce biases, which can be applied in various aspects of project design and collaboration during teamwork and meetings. 🙌 At the end of the workshop, we summarized the key takeaways and addressed questions. We also provided a list of resources for further learning!

The cone of experience Also known as the Learning Cone, is a concept developed by Edgar Dale in the 1940s. It represents different levels of learning based on the amount of sensory involvement. At the base of the cone are direct experiences, such as real-life encounters, experiments, and simulations, which are considered to be the most effective for learning. As you move up the cone, the levels include audiovisual materials, verbal information, and symbols, with each level involving less direct sensory experience and often being less effective for learning compared to the lower levels.
