Since I started my new job in NEO (Norsk Elektro Optikk AS) this month, many of my contacts have expressed curiosity and interest in who we are and what we are offering. We are an innovative, research-focused, privately owned company with a mission to develop high-quality solutions addressing specific industrial or societal needs. Our primary focus area is within electro-optics and photonics, where the HySpex family of #HyperspectralImaging cameras and systems provides state-of-the-art, quality measurements for labs, industrial applications, and remote sensing (both airborne and space). An example use case is the identification and mapping of minerals for the mining industry, e.g., to improve close-to-face-sorting, material stream distribution, re-mining of secondary valuable raw materials, and monitoring of the #environmental impact of commercial mining activities. These are the objectives of the trans-European research project m4mining that my colleague Dr. Friederike Koerting reports from in below post. Other typical use cases for our solutions could be quality grading or foreign material detection in #agriculture or #foodproduction, or sorting of various materials for #recycling. 💪 I am very excited to work with this highly capable and innovative team in tackling new industry challenges 💪

A little glimpse of our fieldwork in the past week in the Repulic of Cyprus for m4mining with our HySpex Mjolnir. As you can see, the weather in the first couple of days was not ideal so we used some time to test the hardware without collecting SWIR data and getting familiar with the site. Thanks to Justus Constantin Hildebrand joining on short notice we were able to prolong and use the sunny days in the end of the week with him as a pilot. Thanks to all the partners joining on site, to David Lindblom from Prediktera AB wrapping his head around #drone data acquisition and familiar faces from my time at the German Research center for geosciences GFZ (looking at you Nicole Köllner😉). I just wanted to use the occasional to thank the team in Cyprus for the organization and support and their great hospitality. It's our third time working together and it's always been a pleasure. Thanks Ioulia Georgiadou for your support and helping to organize this whole thing. In super curious to see the data in the next couple of week. But first, off to Valencia for the 13th EARSeL workshop on imaging spectroscopy ✌🏻️

Very interesting- I'd like to understand more about the 80 MHz of frequency and the truck mounted production. I've managed some very tough trenching projects as both a utility and a contractor with varied success with GPR. Knowing more about what lies beneath and confidence in accuracy would have benefits to both the owner and contractor for a more predictable outcome on price and schedule. As the nation sets goals for undergrounding GPR will be a significant contributor to design and machine selection. I have also been hearing about some post construction sink holes on a state highway with a recent HDD project where excessive cobbles were encountered. I'm curious if the technology will allow a post check of HDD work to see frack out and sub terrain voids that may pose a risk to future road failure. #GPR, #undergroundutilities #undergroundconstruction #hdpe #pge #ibew #hdd #hdddrilling
Tesmec Group's GPR for Geological Features! In the demo carried out in December at the Charlotte Pass site, Australia, Tesmec's GPR proved to be an outstanding tool. We used the GPR to detect and locate underground layers and geological features. One of the characteristics that makes it so special is the 80MHz frequency. Thanks to this product, we were able to work and process data regarding about 1.1 km of terrain, and we are satisfied with it. We at Tesmec believe in progress and devote much of our energy to the improvement and development of our products. #GPR #GeologicalFeatures

Innosea are proud to announce its recent support to marine innovation specialists Greenov on the numerical modelling of the SubSea Quieter (SSQ) - a system to reduce underwater noise and turbidity pollution generated by harbor works and pile driving operations for the installation of #OffshoreWind #Turbines. 💚 💡 This system is based on an innovative membrane that makes it adaptable to different types of foundation (monopile, jacket) and to the characteristics of the work site (depth, tide, current). The SSQ was tested during 3 months at the Saint Nazaire #OffshoreWind site early this year. Innosea's scope of work covered...👇🏽 🔢 Numerical modelling of the SSQ 📊 Evaluation of the system's performance under several environmental conditions The SSQ was able to successfully demonstrate the methodology for hydrodynamic assessment, as well as give valuable input for upcoming tank tests. 🛣 Moving ahead, the next steps in the collaboration will consist of defining the tank testing conditions for Greenov. The results of which, will help validate the system and further calibration of the numerical model. After the calibration phase, Innosea will perform the detailed design loop of simulations to further develop the SSQ technology. Have you ever observed the Mini-Frac process, downhole? Thanks to the great work and planning carried out by Max Teitel, Oleg Tsvik, Wesley Neal, RAMESES RIVERA, Oleksander Kholodnyi, Neil Attwood, P.Eng., Brad Collas, C.Tech., and Steven Trembath, P.Eng., Integrity Insitu has successfully completed the first phase of our in house Mini-Frac and Intelligent Packer data comparison! Well done team, this is terrific footage that most people would never otherwise get to see! If you look closely you can see that the frac grew out of zone vertically, hopefully we had rights to the formation above us! 😆 #geomechanics #researchanddevelopment #innovation #insighttool #dfit #minifrac #stressmeasurements #intelligentpacker #insighttool
