PLAYING OUR PART This week was Earth Day which received a tremendous amount of noise online. Unlike other similar world days, Earth Day is more than meeting environmental targets, it focuses on sustainability as a whole. First held on April 22, 1970, this globally celebrated event engages over 1 billion people in more than 193 countries. In the same way, HartDixon's commitment to sustainability goes beyond environmental standards. Two years ago, we aligned our business with the UN SDGs (United Nations Sustainability Goals) framework, during the time that we were setting up our ISO14001 framework. Every year our target is to address our relevant chosen goals. Here is a summary of our efforts: Year 2023: Goal 13: Climate Action - Amidst pressing environmental challenges, we're intensifying our efforts to reduce carbon footprints and champion renewable energy initiatives. In 2023, we launched our carbon reduction plan and commitment to net zero by 2050. Year 2023: Goal 15: Life on Land - From sustainable forest management to combatting biodiversity loss, we're committed to preserving our planet's biodiversity and ecosystems. In 2023, we took part in the Thames21 clean-up. An incredible initiative that supports marine life, wildlife and ensures better environments for people to enjoy. Year 2024: Goal 2: Zero Hunger - Through innovative approaches and partnerships, we're dedicated to ensuring communities have access to nutritious food, which last month included our team spending the day volunteering with the wonderful The Felix Project. Year 2025: Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities – We are already collaborating with the real estate eco-system and supply chain to help make cities safe, inclusive, resilient and sustainable. Watch this space for an update on next year’s initiative. Whilst the globe’s sustainability challenge is much bigger than an individual company’s commitment, by working together we can make a lasting impact to drive positive change. https://www.earthday.org/ #EarthDay #Sustainability #UNSDG

Jetwave Marine has taken significant steps to reduce their environmental impact by offsetting 5,358 tonnes of CO2e and planting 960 kelp plants off the coast of Kalbarri, WA. These efforts contribute to carbon absorption, habitat restoration, and biodiversity growth within marine ecosystems. By aligning their operations with sustainability goals, Jetwave is demonstrating how the marine logistics sector can embrace impactful environmental practices while supporting local communities. At Everclime, we’re proud to work alongside partners like Jetwave Marine who are turning sustainability goals into meaningful action.

Honouring #WorldEarthDay today 🌍 At The Industry Club, we're advocates for environmental leadership, we're collaborating with businesses dedicated to eco-friendly practices. We all have a role in lessening our footprint and positively impacting nature's balance. We'd like to extend an invitation to individuals and businesses alike who share our passion for protecting our planet. Join us in a venture of tree planting to combat CO2 levels and rejuvenate biodiversity through comprehensive reforestation efforts. Here's the impact we're aiming for: 1. For each new client we plant a quintet of trees 🌳 x5 2. For every perm brief we receive from any of our clients, we plant another tree 🌳🌳 3. For every successful placement we top up our forest with one more tree 🌳 4. We keep on planting for every new brief and placement and our collective forest continues to grow 🌳🌳🌳 We have the power to effect real change, restoring the atmosphere and enriching our earth with Just One Tree. Join the mission! Explore our contributions and discuss potential partnerships right here in the comments below. #Sustainability #Reforestation #CorporateResponsibility #justonetree

🌊 This week I attended the webinar with SOS - Sustainable Ocean Solutions, which is an initiative you should know about. This initiative unites innovators, entrepreneurs, academics, and policymakers to create solutions for a Sustainable Ocean. Key insights from the webinar was -Highlights from One Ocean Week: Johan Odvar Odfjell reflections on the youth panel from One Ocean Week in Bergen. Where it was fantastic to see the your people challenging the established. -Balancing Ocean Protection with Sustainable Use: Karoline Andaur (WWF Norway) emphasized the need to address overfishing, habitat destruction, climate change, and pollution. WWF Norway is challenging Norway’s deep seabed mining initiatives. -Driving Change Through Impact Investing: Peter Bryant (Builders Vision) shared their investment in sustainable initiatives since 2020, promoting jobs, reducing GHG emissions, and managing coastal areas. The key takeaway personally for me was: We always, always have a choice. As investors and leaders, we can choose to invest in the future and support regenerative economy and solutions, and not the past. Let's commit to safeguarding our oceans! 🌍🌱 #SustainableOceans #ImpactInvesting #OneOceanWeek #OceanProtection

Together with over 625 partners, Ecotrust is creating solutions that build resilience to a changing climate, restore lands and waters, and cultivate broadly shared intergenerational wealth. In 2023, our partnerships included 450+ funding partners, 180+ project collaborators, and $13M raised since 2019 for equitable, climate-smart stewardship. These numbers reflect the power of collaboration—rooted in trust, reciprocity, and shared vision. This year, we are excited to welcome many new partners who share our mission, like Wells Fargo, who shared why they chose to support Ecotrust in 2024: 'We support sustainability initiatives that enable an equitable, low-carbon future, focusing our efforts on accelerating cleantech innovation, and strengthening local climate resilience.' Partners like Wells Fargo remind us of the importance of aligning values with action. Let’s continue to grow this ecosystem of impact, grounded in gratitude and inspired by our collective resilience.
