My closing thought for today - I wish PMMs and PMs routinely put AE shoes on to run discovery & demos calls themselves before trying to build/improve sales enablement materials or build new features. Deep customer empathy comes from lived, not observed experience.

Product focused demos won't get you clients. Here's why: ❌ Product demos focus too much on features and button pushing. ❌ They don't focus on the audience and are boring. Sales demos will get more sales and here is why: ✅ They use client stories as case studies and to prove value ✅ They demonstrate solving problems and show ROI ✅ They focus on the customer and which is exciting for them If your demos aren't winning sales, change to a sales focused demo...easy.
