As a brand committed to fostering progress and the youthful, free spirit of surfing culture, we’re excited to announce the return of Vans Pipe Masters, Dec. 8-20, 2024, on the legendary North Shore of Oahu. The platform showcases the next generation of athletes who are redefining surfing and its cultural impact.      As part of the event, we’re dedicated to supporting grassroots Hawaiian organizations - including Nā Kama Kai, Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii, and NORTH SHORE COMMUNITY LAND TRUST - as well as honoring the legacy of Hawaiian surfers with half of this year’s invitees comprised of residents of Hawaii and Native Hawaiians. In addition, this year’s contest continues to promote equality in surfing with an equal prize purse for both men and women.     Stay updated and follow along on @Vans https://lnkd.in/fD6ab7b, @VansSurf https://lnkd.in/gmJj4vAM, and Stab Magazine, as we continue to push culture forward for the next generation.

Cool event, but come on Vans you can do better than the opening paragraph of this post. Here’s an idea: “Established in 1971, Pipe Masters is the singular surfing that causes the entire surfing world to converge on Oahu’s North Shore. It’s the proving ground for the young and promising, and where the has-beens once again become head-turners. From Dec 8-20, Vans Pipe Masters returns to heaviest wave in the world to crown the latest entrants to surfing’s most prestigious circle of champions.” Forget the ChatGPT-sounding corporate-speak. “Fostering progress”? What? You’re the voice of this culture, start talking like us.

I love the brand and have gotten hooked up by the brand for many years but come on Vans the invitee list is appalling who you left off, first and foremost to not invite Jamie O’Brien who not only lives at pipe but if you look at the contests at pipe over the last 20 years my man has single-handily owned this spot. Landon McNamara and a host of other very well proven pipeline specialists from the North Shore were also left off of the list to have the “younger generation” on… Who doesn’t want to see Bruce make a comeback at pipe with his new sponsor, Darc Sport??? Nope not invited either… Come on Vans, what up with it? ✌🏼always.

Bring back the whole Triple Crown. You can still keep the digital process as a stand alone.

Super pumped, and great organizations to support!! I really like this design! Will you be selling any poster prints when you're here in Haleiwa? If so, where can I find them?
