CompressionFit Q&A // Q: How do you make connections after the CompressionFit installation when located in the middle of a pull? A: With major connections like tee's/valves, a small section of the host pipe will be removed prior to installing the HDPE pipe. After CompressionFit installation, the HDPE pipe is allowed time to revert. The HDPE pipe is then cut and the new connections are made directly to the HDPE. For smaller connections, like a 2-inch air release, a coupon is cut out of the host pipe prior to installing the HDPE pipe. After CompressionFit installation, the HDPE pipe is allowed time to revert. The connection can then be made (i.e. using fusion) directly to the new HDPE pipe. #CompressionFit #ASTMF3508

One approach to minimize #Surges (#WaterHammer) in liquid systems is to lower the maximum velocities in the piping system which means low frictional loss or lower dynamic head requirement for the pumps. Its drawback is higher capital cost due to larger pipe sizes or equipments but on the other hand, the power consumption by the pumps will be reduced (lower operational cost). The material conveying of the shaftless screw conveyor relies on the sliding movement of the rotating blades, and the conveying direction determines the left and right rotation direction of the screw blades and their rotation direction. Therefore, it can be conveyed unidirectionally or bidirectionally as needed, and can also be loaded at multiple points. It can be installed horizontally or at an inclined angle.
