Happy Holidays! This holiday season, we’re reminded that home is so much more than just a roof overhead. It’s where memories are made, dreams take shape, and communities come together. At MSHDA, we’re honored to play a role in building and strengthening the foundation of home for our friends and neighbors across Michigan.

Okay, I admit it -- proud Mom moment here But I promise there's a message here for job seekers Or anyone with a dream And a goal Isaac loves camp and bringing those opportunites to as mamy kids and families as he can Having worked in and managed several camps, he knew what worked, what didn't And what was missing He developed a new program Planted seeds Wrote a plan Made connections Baby steps led to an extremely successful program It's the same with job search (See, I told you there would be a tie-in) Decide what you are looking for Develop your plan Build your network Work your plan And keep working it It may take time, And that can be really frustrating You can't control the outcome, But can control what you do So keep at it If something isn't working, Take a break Regroup, Re-evaluate, Build on the feedback you receive Reach out for help and support! And keep going! Okay, back to the proud Mom for a minute Take a look at this video to see the kind of experiences he creates for kids Keep an eye out for the boy in the pickle 🥒 costume He's one of my grandkids 😊 What's your passion? How are you working at bringing that idea or that goal into reality? How can I help? ----------------- I’m Linda Brubaker, the “Career Search Doctor” Ready to look for your #nextforeverjob and hire your next boss? I started Camp Patriot at Stevenson High School in 2018 with the goal of (again) putting together a camp program that I can be proud of. We focus on building community, trying new things, and focusing on growth. It sounds like families are happy with us, too. Camp ‘24 ended on Friday and, as of today, we’re 50% full for summer of ‘25.

Hello All, Let's get real. This project is another masterpiece of Mr. Steven Levene/COO of Metrolinx. The steel span Through Plate Girder over existing Tracks at Newmarket 4.90 Davenport has many structural concerns. Mr. steven leven/(current COO of Metrolinx/ by then VP of RailCiorridor) decided to create a Risk Assessment Team Meeting (on Friday, June 4, 2021 1:30 PM-3:30 PM, ) and chaired this Team meeting. Created +/-35 pages of check marks, and he concluded that: all are good, the Case Closed! The above case was opened by an engineer (Name DELETED] of RailCorridor to begin with. the steel span was a Through Plate Girder, TPG, +/-100 ft long, double track, and amazingly, Direct Fixation. Why Direct Fixation instead of Ballasted Deck? Everyone knows that Direct Fixation will reduce the life-span of the bridge from +100 years to around 30 years. well Metrolinx has the answer!!! Also, the girders have top and bottom flange splices, as well as web splices exactly at the same location: one series on the North side of the span and one series on the south side. the above splices means that the weakest point of the top flange is aligned with the weakest point of the web and aligned with the weakest point of bottom flange, at two separate locations, one on the North side and one on the south side. you do the math!!! If you want more information, please let me know. Also, on September 18th and 19th, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky, during the Arema Annual Conference, Metrolinx gave a presentation regarding the elevated bridge at Davenport Diamond, Newmarket sub/MX, and New Toronto Sub/(of a real railway). Ironically, Metrolinx did not talk about this portion (steel double track TOG crossing over the existing tracks of another railway) of the project. the bridge designer was not part of the presenter team. The bridge contractor was not part of the presenter team. I doubt that there was even a representative of the actual designer and the actual contractor team at Arema 2024. The people at the Arema Conf. 2024 were asking why? Well, the answer is: there is a series of serious issues with that steel span bridge over the New Toronto Tracks. Stay tuned for more info. @phil verster /CEO Metrolinx Steven Levene/ COO Metrolinx Metrolinx regards Siamak Khajehpour, P.Eng.

Expect adversity. Expect a greater reward. In this life, we have a way of experiencing adversity. - By our own doing. - By someone else's doing. - Because we live in a fallen world. Sometimes you need to be gritty to get through the adversity. _____ While traveling from Iowa to Louisiana to take part, - in a community event - meet with partners in person - see tremendous progress of our BTR the statement above in the first two lines, is evident. On this development, we have experienced adversity in many ways... - One of rainiest seasons in history. - Extra hurdles to navigate with regulation. - An event for community thwarted by what can't be controlled. Despite this and much more not listed, we have 50 of 90 homes started and 5 ready to come online by the end of December. _____ The race is not given to the swift, but to those who endure. Never give up!

We’ve accomplished a lot at First United Church Community Ministry Society but we know there is still more to do. We’re led by a vision where everybody’s worth is celebrated, and all people thrive. We’re guided by these principles to get there through dignity, belonging, and justice. When we say dignity, we’re talking about respect, basic needs and human rights. When we talk about belonging, we’re talking about creating safer spaces where everyone feels welcome and there’s no judgement and no stigma. When talking about justice, we’re talking about systemic change and breaking the cycles of poverty. That’s what we’re trying to accomplish, and we know we do not do this work alone. We can’t do this without you. Through your faithfulness, finances, time, and support, you’re helping guide us to get to these places. And we’re led with so much hope. We know that in 2025 we’re going to accomplish even more things together. I am so humbled that I get to say this to you here today: Merry Christmas, and see you next year.
