Our Apex Site had a holly jolly time in the 2024 Annual Carroll County, Ohio Christmas Parade! This festive event filled the streets with holiday cheer, featuring dazzling floats, marching bands, and, of course, a visit from Santa! The Annual event brought folks from as far south as Alabama and as west as Washington!

Yesterday was a BIG day for Raleigh. Red Hat Amphitheater will stay! Not only will it stay, but it will be gloriously better and the impact on our city will be overwhelmingly positive and long-term. I loved how citizens came together to debate the issues even though it sometimes got impassioned and contentious. I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to Bill King and Downtown Raleigh Alliance for their grassroots work, to the City of Raleigh Municipal Government City Council for their unanimous voice, and to Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin, for her leadership. It was nice to have a "morning after" meeting, to celebrate Red Hat Amp's staying, at our favorite social impact coffee place in town, 321 Coffee. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to dance like a buffoon at that first show at the new amp and to see Band Together NC community shows continue on there. If you are looking for some fun + a cause (mental health) this weekend, PLEASE join Niccole Winn Rosin and me at Band Together Presents: Black Pumas & Cory Wong w/ Young Gun Silver Fox & DJ Terminator!!! Exactly. People need to stop using their time or their college degrees to try working for someone who will fire them at any moment. People need to start their own businesses and stop settling. #entrepreneur #entrepreneurship #entrepreneurs
Instead of fighting for seats at tables where we’re not valued, let’s focus on building our own tables—spaces where we celebrate, uplift, and empower one another unapologetically. 🎥 @bhighatl @originalhotboyturk

Have you ever tracked the amount of time you spend complaining about one thing or another? Barry Brownstein offers some excellent observations about how complaining makes us miserable. It appears that the Gaza Floyd riots are here, right on cue to usher in the election season. James Mullin has a simple but relevant question that no one seems to ask those rioting protestors. There comes a time where we each must decide where our line in the sand is drawn. Michael Boldin reminds us that it was gun control that started the War for Independence. Every day it seems that our justice system is further twisted to serve only the goals of the state. Doug Casey has a solid explanation of the failures of the justice system and a viable solution. Article of the Day: The president's plan to raise the capital gains tax to its highest rate ever is destructive on a whole new level. To better understand how taxing unrealized gains will obliterate our economy, check out the latest from Quoth the Raven. Sponsors: Life Saving Food Fifty Two Seven Alliance Iron Sight Brewing Co. https://lnkd.in/gVjG8ZFD Title: "Rhythms of Resistance: The Harmonic Protest" Location: City Square Date: [Specific Date] Event Description: Join us at City Square for "Rhythms of Resistance," a unique legal protest that combines music, technology, and collective action in a fight for [cause]. At the heart of our gathering is the continuous play of "[Song Name]"—a track that symbolizes our movement's spirit and message. Event Overview: The event will leverage the technology we carry every day—our laptops—to both broadcast our chosen anthem and manifest our presence. Each participant will play "[Song Name]" on their laptop, coordinated to start at precisely the same moment. This collective action will not only amplify our message through music but also demonstrate our unity and synchronized commitment to the cause. Why Music and Laptops? Music has the power to transcend barriers and connect people at an emotional level. By using laptops, a common yet powerful tool, we harness our everyday technology for activism. This approach ensures that our protest remains peaceful and within legal bounds, focusing on positive expression and impactful assembly. Time Management: To ensure that managing playtime doesn't become a chore, we will use a simple, synchronized start method. At exactly [Time], a signal will be given for all participants to press 'play,' turning the square into a live concert of our protest song. This collective effort not only simplifies the process—avoiding the hassle of repeatedly managing playback times—but also creates a powerful moment of unity and shared purpose. Join Us: Bring your charged laptops, your passion for change, and your voices. Let’s fill the air with music that moves and messages that matter. Together, we can turn a simple song into a symbol of change and a moment of collective empowerment. Please Note: Ensure your participation is mindful of legal guidelines for public gatherings in our city. Respect the space, fellow protestors, and passersby as we come together to make a stand. This format for a protest uses the collective broadcasting of a song to unify participants and strengthen the protest's message, making time spent together impactful rather than a mere logistical burden. It emphasizes the use of technology not just as a tool, but as a part of the message, showcasing innovation in peaceful protest.
